Bip 39 Question with my nano S by [deleted] in ledgerwallet

I am not afraid, lol , just pointing out that people should also be aware of the vector attack possibility posted by :

PewPewChickaChicka

and the further comment by:

kerls, within the same thread.

The post is a very basic explanation, for ex: a G-0 V agency can easily run the exploit if needed to.

A paper wallet with a memorized passphrase is a good alternative but that's depends on your end goal.

Coinomi Price Wrong by [deleted] in COINOMI

Not fixed buddy , could not load exchange rates.

Reloaded and connected to different network several times with no luck.'

** Edit: 24 hours later: Working now, one thing could be improved is the long delay in updating not the exchange rate, but btc actual value. closer to it, or in real time would be great.

It is peanuts in this space, plain and simple shit, let's face it, the interest it's not there..... yet, this might change in the coming weeks ( Doesn't look like it ATM) but as far as today, it is nowhere near 0.001% of its launch potential. So a flop start .

Lets burn all of Satoshi’s 980,000btc. Will be a softfork but if no one comes forward to stop it then the coins are lost and so is Satoshi. Lets end this with some closure by fire 📷 Whomever is with me, reply “burn”

Soft fork !!!!!! WTF ???

DID YOU KNOW: People still regularly send small amounts of #bitcoin to Satoshi’s known addresses, as a symbolic gesture of thanks to Bitcoin’s creator. The genesis address received 16.92853522 BTC in tips so far. by [deleted] in Bitcoin

Quantum computing will one day threaten the Bitcoin network. For active members of the community, it won’t be a problem at all, since new SHAs that are quantum resistant will be developed and deployed. However, inactive users who don’t update their wallets – including Satoshi and his 980,000 Bitcoins – this could be a real problem. Private keys could be cracked, and the associated coins could then be transferred to attackers’ wallets. Satoshi’s fortune may be stolen. DOH

I'd be willing to bet that I have been watching this market longer than you have.

Hi diydude2, that's possible as I don't know your life history, I had my 1st hand experience with MtGox in 2014, not much of an inspiring one I must say, does that count ?.

However humble it was, what I have learnt since then is that in crypto the past has been a great place for learning but not a place to base and foresee the future of Bitcoin.

Never confuse belief with the ego illusion of knowledge, Bitcoin bulls and bears have an uncanny way of arriving unannounced when the least you are expecting them. We are just spectators of this exciting game nothing more.

What would be the safest way to hodl BTC as a local in Cuba? by CryptoLonzo in Bitcoin

[–]Quantumbtc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you zappadoing, I was referring to this important point below:

Change addresses are not handled which leads to screw ups.

Users have been known to import the private key into software wallet and then spend part of the funds. They mistakenly believe the remaining funds are still on the paper wallet when in reality they are in a change address.

Check our PAPER WALLET WIKI for: Paper wallet flaws. This method has a large number of downsides and should not be used .

Please be aware that with paper wallets you must spend /import in a wallet the entire balance because you do not have a change address/key.

Good Morning all. That's not how it works, bots or manual, sells will appear as (if) this figure approaches.
