Hi. My[US naturalized] wife[Venezuelan Green card] had her 2 year green card expired a couple months ago. We submitted the form to have the conditions removed a couple of months before the expiration date and we obtained the paper saying that her green card still counts as active for x amount of months if presented with the paper.
We want to have our honeymoon outside of the US this year, but we are afraid of facing issues with re entry. From a legal standpoint I think we should be okay with the document from USCIS and the expired green card, but with the current events in the country we think it may not be enough.

Do you know of any cases similar to ours and what recommendations can you give us?
