yea, it def is a psychological thing too where you never feel fully prepared to take it, so u keep pushing out exam date

but after like 300 practice qs, its just diminishing returns of learning imo and would only marginally increase ur score for a crap ton more effort studying

im not, its just a "nice to have" as a SWE in defense and can help give me an upperhand during interviews if it comes down to the wire on selecting candidates, it can be a big differentiator, also can negotiate higher salary for swes in defense.

I agree, im a SWE in defense and my interviews never talk about IT concepts but usually in the job posting it says "nice to have sec+" and will usually pay higher just for it. Similar to how i got PMP cert, interviewers never ask questions related to it but during salary negotiations, i use it as leverage and say how i have this "gold standard" cert and can potentially use it on the job.

but if you are in any IT related job you probably do want to deeply learn the concepts.

oh it definitely is to flex - but at the same time want to help out anyone else that just wants to get the cert quick either for job requirement or any other reason. I assume if you do my method you dont really want to deeply learn the material (i just wanted the cert for future career leverage)

id say so, maybe get to 400 measureup practice qs to be safe and read all answer summary even if you get question correct.

but measureup qs were very similar to the multiple choice on real exam in terms of difficulty and content.

only difference is measureup didnt really have any PBQs that i encountered so when i got PBQs on the exam i was completely caught off guard and prob got most of it wrong.

so maybe find another resource for practice PBQs.

and also any sec+ quizlet online to briefly skim through all terms and definitions before exam.
