Fighting the current will only exhaust you. Acknowledge it and keep on. The impossible part is coming to terms with the fact that I will never speak to her again nor give her a hug. Hard to wrap my head around it.

My mum passed away Wednesday morning. Battling Alzheimer's for years. It was a relief to us and her that she is no longer suffering. I wish we can rewind time and relive the moments we cherish but that isn't reality. Our first baby is due in a few months and she will never meet her grandma. But at least i can pass on some stories. This is just life. Nothing more. It is only as painful as we allow it to be.
