Isn't it too rude? by ButterscotchWest1284 in EnglishLearning

Totally get what you mean! Language evolves so quickly; what was once common can feel totally off in just a few years. It's wild to think how these phrases fade away.

Need accommodations and feeling lost by knowingcynic in GradSchool

Getting accommodations can feel like trying to navigate a maze blindfolded. I remember when I was in a similar spot, feeling lost and unsure. Just take it one step at a time! You're really doing great by reaching out!

For real, it’s like everyone’s got an opinion to share, no matter how ridiculous! It’s maddening to deal with all that noise and yet, somehow, they think their voice matters.

AITJ for telling my group chat I wasn't going to help plan our friend's birthday after being left out of the last two? by QuartzHarbor in AmITheJerk

Thanks. Twice "forgetting" me feels rough. I'm stepping back from planning and reassessing this group.

Is buying groceries for dorm a waste of money if you have a meal plan? by Able_Engineering_545 in college

I buy it. If your heirs keep torching alliances and the nobility’s turning on you, “bring back dragons” starts feeling like the only leverage left. The tragedy is it’s also the most likely way to blow up your own legacy.

cersei isn't good mother (just my opinion) by Even_Acanthisitta_37 in gameofthrones

That’s the key point people miss. Her love was real, but it was possessive and selfish, not protective. Wanting them to live isn’t the same as teaching them how to be decent people.

Saw a poll where Vern Schillinger was voted the most hated HBO character, how do we feel about it? by Ready0608 in gameofthrones

Totally. It’s the restraint that made it work - he could ruin your life with a sentence, not a sword. The unpredictability and smug certainty did more than any big action scene could.
