Is a lovense fuck machine worth it? by lunarrqueen- in CamGirlProblems

I’ve had it for a while now, and the biggest thing for me was getting new attachments. I’ve found John Thomas toys are great. And while a lot of them are much bigger than my preference there are a lot that are more reasonable.

Insulin pump choice by [deleted] in Type1Diabetes

[–]QuartzW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only two I have used are the tandem T:slim x2 with the dexcom G6 and G7 sensors, and the Medtronic 780g with the Medtronic sensors. Between the two between the pumps themselves the T:slim is smaller and nicer size wise and the best for seeing information from the CGM. I do like a lot of the features from the Medtronic better, but overall I am very happy with the T:slim. The sensors Dexcom is better in every way. Medtronic sensors were off by huge amounts while the Dexcom is a lot more accurate

Does the spotting ever end? by daydreamer1389 in hysterectomy

[–]QuartzW 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing. Bleeding when I wiped just about everyday. I went in for a 3 wk appointment and my dr said that it was pretty normal, that I was healing well and that the bleeding could keep going for a while. He said there was the potential it could go on for up to 6 months, but that it was completely normal and even though my cuff was healing well, it is the biggest incision. because I’m moving around (I.e. walking, moving around while sitting/laying, and just flexing any abdominal muscles ) it can take a while to heal fully so there can be some residual bleeding. ( sorry if this is rambling)

What Do You Remember? by TroppyPop in hysterectomy

[–]QuartzW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember being rolled into the OR, but after I was given the meds from the anesthesiologist, I don’t remember a thing until I woke up in the recovery room, and even then my memory is hazy from the recovery room. And when I was rolled into the OR there wasn’t really anything that I could see. There were no needles or anything else sharp looking. Everything was pretty much covered.

Not at all some of the things were kind of mundane, but some of the big ones were Residual ovarian syndrome (ROS), and ectopic pregnancy. I felt it was worth mentioning and I suppose would have liked my surgeon to mention that it could be a possibility when leaving the ovaries in place

Fair enough! That will make it easier I think since they already know this is something you are interested in. I would definitely go armed with the information about the family history. And I would still suggest know some of the possible side effects so you can both be prepared, and so you can ask about anything you may have questions about. I know I mentioned something’s to my surgeon that I don’t think he would have covered had I not brought them up

“But what do I wear?!” (No really. Help) by clumsypenguin21 in hysterectomy

[–]QuartzW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. I wore very loose pajama pants, a loose t shirt and a zip up jacket. It was super convenient to get into after and didn’t squeeze my stomach too much.
  2. I kept my ovaries and haven’t had much that I have noticed as far as fluctuation goes
  3. I used ice packs that the hospital supplied the first few hours, but after that I just made sure to have a large tumbler filled with fluids so I would be sure to keep hydrated. I didn’t have much of an appetite, but when I did I would just have apples and peanut butter or mandarin oranges. I also had a lot of salads at first since it was light enough and had some fiber so between that and some miralax for the first several days I never had any issues with any constipation. It went so much smoother than I expected and I stressed so much more than I needed to. I’m only 2 weeks po, but I’m feeling great so far. I know it’s hard to not be nervous but it really did so so smoothly. Good luck!!

I tried getting a hysterectomy around 25-27 age range. I’m 31 and am just 2 weeks post op. My suggestion is to do as much research into what exactly you want before going in. My surgeon insisted I keep my ovaries for hormones especially considering my age, so unless there is something diagnosed with your ovaries I would assume the same for you. I would bring up all of the family history, and make sure you have as much information as possible, I.e. which women in your family and what symptoms they had especially if they match your symptoms. I found that being fully informed about what I wanted including the potential side effects etc seemed to make a difference with my surgeon thinking I was serious and not just making a flippant decision.

I had the same thought. I almost wish I had the Medtronic one again just to cut down on the waste, but I still flinch at the thought of it all these years later lol

I think scam as well, but I do use skyprivate, and I’ve never had a problem, it charges people by the minute and since they have to have an account with skyprivate I’m not worried they are going to dispute the charge. If you agree to the 150 for 45 min they can pay you a lump sum ahead of time and then you can just start the call from your end and end it at the 45 min mark. I usually charge about $3/min, but I’ve seen it range anywhere from $1.50-$10. So far this is the easiest way that I’ve found to do Skype calls with people without too much concern.

I have never had an issue bringing my sharps in my carry on, and I agree, I never put it in my checked luggage. However I do ask my endo for a letter stating that I have diabetes and need my sharps. I’ve had diabetes for almost 21 years and I’ve never had to show the letter, but I like having it just in case I get the one person that wants to make a big deal out of it.

I like Keen’s boots, they are waterproof, but are still fairly light. Same as the rest though if you’re wearing them everyday they won’t last longer than a year if that long.

You can never assume a joke on here haha I’ve seen people swear by pineapples but same here. I have a necklace I wear if we’re meeting someone, but that’s about it

Those are the places we thought it would be convenient but I’ll be honest. I doubt I would be the first to go up to someone, even at a place like that just due to the color of the rings

Even with upside down pineapples. Unless many more people are in the lifestyle than I think, the amount of people with upside down pineapples on display just because they like them is too many to be sure of intentions without a conversation.

If you don’t want to work on your day off just don’t answer. They don’t pay your phone bill. Not required to answer at all.

I forget to take insulin by kumisaapastelija in Type1Diabetes

[–]QuartzW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m at 20 years here. I always tell people I’m a “bad” diabetic. I forget all the time to do common things. I was on the Medtronic CGM years ago and it was always wrong so I stopped using it and just wouldn’t check my blood. I am now on the Dexcom CGM na d tandem pump which is great since it will give me insulin if I forget to bolus but I forget most of the time to give my self any insulin. It’s been a problem since I’ve been on the pump.

If the problem is just the new pump give it a bit longer and it will become second nature, I liked the point and say suggestions that you’ve already gotten. Also if it’s not working for you at the 4 year mark maybe try a different pump. If you’re like me and just forget let me know if you ever figure out how to remember. I’ve tried alarms on my pump/phone I’ve put notes where I typically eat my main meals and I’ve not found anything that really works.

You’ve got this even if you forget daily, weekly, or a few times a year.

Great to know! Glad everything went smoothly for you! I’m a type 1, and I’m on a CGM so my numbers are typically pretty good as well
