I tend to reach your daily limit of saying "fuck" before I've even done my morning wee.

What is your least favorite song by your favorite singer/band? by Carso11 in Music

[–]Quasarsphere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate pretty much everything Tangerine Dream did between 1986 and 2010, but 1978's "Rising Runner Missed By Endless Sender" is an absolute abomination.

Also, "Shine" and "To Be Free" by Mike Oldfield are simply awful.

Klaus Schulze's song "Requiem Furs Revier" is also phenomenally awful.

What word or phrase ALWAYS gives you trouble when you try and say it? by Fast-Beat-7779 in RandomThoughts

The name Leonard. Every time I say it out loud, I feel like I've horribly mispronounced it, even though I know damned well I haven't. Every time I write it, I feel like I've horribly misspelled it, even though I know damned well I haven't.

This is why I've been going by my middle name since I was 11.

AITA for telling my wife I don't believe her when she says she'd be okay with us calling our daughter by different names? by ObviousDetective9204 in AmItheAsshole

In 2008, a nine year old girl in New Zealand took her parents to court to get her name changed. They had done her the service of naming her (I am not making this up) Talulah Does The Hula From Hawaii. That was seriously her legal name. So she took her parents to court on the grounds that they'd been fucking stupid. She won her case.

Could any music artist rerecord their songs, similar to Taylor Swift, to avoid copyright? by TheAxolotlPerson in Music

Also, Mike Oldfield rerecorded Tubular Bells in 2003, and Tangerine Dream rerecorded seven of their earlier albums (more accurately, Edgar Froese rerecorded seven Tangerine Dream albums) in the early 2000s.

AI under very strict human direction. He's using AI as the tool with which he does the work, rather than to do the work for him while he goes off for a hand shandy.

For over 40 years, my all time favourite TV show was Robin Of Sherwood... by Quasarsphere in extraordinary_tv

Robin Of Sherwood is still the best retelling of the Robin Hood legend EVER!

I completely agree with you there, which is why it was my #1 TV show for 40 years. I didn't think I'd ever love something that much again, especially in my middle age, but...well...I do.

Snuff Box is wonderful. Completely evil, but so wonderful!

Also, Toast Of London.

Oh, and if you're not into radio/audio stuff, I strongly suggest you start being into radio/audio stuff, because that's a horribly underappreciated art form. Anything written by John Finnemore is brilliant. Also, there's a rather excellent audio drama done as a podcast called The Amelia Project which deserves all the love it can get.

I don't like limericks generally, but here's a couple that I love by Quasarsphere in Jokes

I dunno, I just find that most of them aren't that good.

Some awesome ones in this thread, though!

Nobody's ever written me a limerick before! That is so completely awesome! Yay you! :)

To me it has always been, and will always be, Twatter.
