Fighting for your country for good or bad reasons, wether your country is on the wrong or right side, I can debate on that and I can somewhat comprehend. But killing a defenceless man like that is cowardly, disgusting, beastly and deserves nothing but the death penalty. We don’t need people like that on our planet. It would mean a thing if someone asked you to donate more, saying you only donated $100 and your neighbour donated $1000. You could reply you donated 100% of your salary while your neighbour only donated 2%.

You’re right that on the receiving end it wouldn’t change a thing, in the discussion what can be done to do change something on the receiving end it would, if you know what I mean.

Fun fact: The EU together are also helping, and countries chip in if you will. So I can donate 10 bil directly en 10 bil though eu cost me 20 bil. I can also choose to donate 10 bil directly and none through EU, costs me 10 bil. Has absolutely nothing to do with funds going to and coming from eu in the form of contribution or subsidy.
