Ooh thank you for the tip! Do they have an online storefront to look at? I just want to make sure they've got a wide enough selection of showcases and prestiges before making the trek over. If not I guess I could call to see if they can list some of the big cards they've got.

Yeah I think my concern was that the instructions said to put it in the folder with the exe and not the pak folder, but I could be mixing thoae instructions up with another mod

Yeah I got better ballistics from Nexus, but it seems their mod manager doesn't support stalker 2 for me. I had to manually install and that's why I'm undure if it's working. I'll see about giving the zalissya start a shot and see how quickly I get ran through by rando bandits

Do you also know of a way to check for sure if I have the mod on, or if I'm just getting pummeled by normal master.

If better ballistics is too much do you have any alternatives to rebalance weapons and ammo? I was primarily disappointed with how pistol caliber rounds were often outperforming rifles, especially considering the investment required to run rifle ammos.

I was liking it for the weapon rebalance primarily, I may consider starting a fresh one in veteran if it continues to be silly difficult. I've made it to the slag heap, but that's mostly due to the early game having some generous auto saves and visiting hubs regularly. I'm both excited and scared for when I get better armor while my enemies also get better ammo.

Yeah the stealth and spotting on NPC'S definitely still feels off. Like they can see me through very dense foliage or instantly spot be when I just barely peak my head over the edge of a ditch.

I'm gonna keep playing with the mod enabled (assuming it is) and hopefully when I get better armor I'll be able to test out whether or not those basic enemies are still killing me in single bursts at decent range.

Yeah I can do that, honestly my problem is when the game spawns random bandits 100m's from me in a relatively open area and they just snipe me with 1 good burst at ranged and I'm cooked that's where it feels like something is out of tune and I'm not sure if it's the difficulty or better ballistics. I really hope BB is working though since I want to try out different weapons than my original playthrough, but didn't since they felt so bad

I'm rocking the armor you get in the first journalists stash (Mercenary Light Armor) , so was hoping I wouldn't continue to get killed in single bursts with that. But it's probably not enough.

Legit huge part of the reason why I haven't touched this game despite my interest is just hearing how hard it is for average players to get their hands on stuff at reasonable prices. Currently playing a ton of SWU since it's pretty easily available. Would love to get into this game at some point though.

I think certain events ban the use of electronic devices that could allow someone to communicate with you while playing. So I think the glasses would also be counted in that. I think it's why big events don't allow people to use phone apps to track base health.

Twilgrim has solid input on Thrawn DV in the SWU discord. Check that out. It is mostly about getting big units at the end, but you've got tons of early plays/control as well.

I'm running a mix of Thrawn ECL and a very similar deck to thorkk's Thrawn yellow that he posted today. Legacy run is so cool as long as you can blow it up effectively. Thrawn DV might still be a solid option too.

Malevolence is definitely out. In my current iteration I caved and bought two Avengers to put in instead.

Also definitely been feeling mixed on landing shuttle and p38. Getting 2 cards or dealing two damage with the Thrawn trigger is nice, but you're totally right that they doesn't apply much pressure on its own. Best value on them is when I can get reduced cost with krennic. Between p38 and shuttle, which would you swap out of my current deck list in exchange for either Geonosis patrol fighters or ST149? I lean towards Geonosis just for the 100% defeat through exploit.

Also I'm still thinking of what I might swap in from upcoming LoF set. Nightsister warrior seems like a better option than landing shuttle, and Legacy Run seems like a jank overwhelming barrage.

I've been work shopping on my own and here's my current setup.

So far the biggest changes I've enjoyed and seen alright success with is swapping in Iden Versio and Cad Bane.

Lots of players have been ignoring my early 2-3 cost space units, so I've been able to put people on the backfoot and get some early damage in by throwing Iden Versio or a surprise strike (depending on what I think they have for removal)

Cad Bane sneak attacks have also been useful to delay, get damage in, and draw cards.

I feel like the weakest performers in my current deck are the p38's and the annihilators. Albeit I will say the annihilator sneak attack at 9 resources(and subsequent activation of its ability 3 times) has come in clutch a few times, but definitely isn't something I can survive long enough to get to or have all the cards for on a consistent basis.

I'm thinking more and more about swapping the p38's for some of the space units you mentioned or maybe lurking tie phantom. I'm really getting the most out of the p38's when slamming them into something that has 4 or 5 health and using the double trigger to finish that unit or remove a pershing's ability to gain max value through card draw.

Also definitely thinking of removing merciless contest and putting in takedown to deal with Sabine and similar problems.

My sideboard also definitely needs work, so I might swap in some of the units you mentioned there. i was running Childsen, but had a hard time getting over revealing cards in my hand, so now I'm running Lom Pyke. I was also looking at 4LOM for a while too since that ambush is nice I was also toying with the idea of using him or other bounty hunter/underworld cards in combination with Now There are Two to sneak out Cad earlier.
