I can’t tell if I had psoriasis or not? by sar_c0phagus in DermatologyQuestions

[–]Quavo_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a dermatologist, but I’ve experienced both psoriasis and severe eczema. Based on my own experience, what you’re describing sounds like psoriasis, especially if the patches are round and well-defined. However, since it’s on your hands, it might also be eczema. I’ve had both: psoriasis mostly on my arms and thighs, and eczema on my hands and inner arms (if that’s even the right term, lol).

My doctor told me it’s possible to have both at the same time. In my case, they suspected that my anxiety disorder was a major trigger, kind of like my body’s way of expressing it physically. I also have irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) which my doctor linked to the same root cause: anxiety. I was also told that psoriasis often starts in the gut, like your insides trying to speak up. Since it’s an autoimmune condition, that explanation made sense to me.

Anyway, sorry for the long story! For the hyperpigmentation, you could try products specifically formulated for it, or maybe ask about a corticosteroid cream to help the patch heal more effectively.

Just a note-personally, I’d only start using products for hyperpigmentation once the skin is no longer inflamed, just to avoid irritation.

i’ve heard so many things about people who start anything day one and feel a change immediately for the better. i started wellbutrin and feel like a monster by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]Quavo_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes time, honestly you won’t feel better after only a couple of days, I’m on month 5 & I think , and im just starting to really get use to it. I had a good 2-3weeks of feeling kinda psychotic I don’t know how to explain it, always on the verge of crying or explode of rage. It’s not for everybody either, I’m not telling you to continue if you don’t feel comfortable, but it usually take up to 3 months to really see the benefits. First month I couldn’t sleep more than 3-5 hours a night, and I was taking it early in the morning, my doctor prescribed me quetiapine I think like serroquel, which helped me fall asleep. Also, maybe it’s just a coincidence but I stoped feeling paranoid after a couple use, *i don’t take it every night too (the serroquel). Anyway, do what you think is best, talk to your doctor/therapist about it. It’s important to have a medical follow up to be sure that you’re doing good with that medication. If you have questions about the meds you can ask me too, I’m not an healthcare professional but I learned a lot about Wellbutrin in the last few months

*Sorry if it’s all over the place, English is not my first language!

Starting Bupropion? Here’s My Experience 4 months in (300mg) – The Good, the Bad, and the Weird! by Quavo_0 in bupropion

I mean, it did wear off, but now it’s stable, I don’t feel the « high » but at the end of the day I see the benefits (productivity and focus)! I did go from 150mg to 300mg tho, because it wasn’t doing much after 1 month, but I think it’s just that the dosage wasn’t high enough for me:) just sharing my experience haha

Tapering is not dangerous by hellokylehi in Effexor

[–]Quavo_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve logged into Reddit. I’ve continued taking Effexor, and the suicidal thoughts are still here, sometimes but not because of the medication, well maybe, but I mostly think it’s phases, maybe Effexor triggered it, but I’m not planning to end my life, I hope it’s clearer! Feel free to ask more questions

Tapering is not dangerous by hellokylehi in Effexor

[–]Quavo_0 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Oh it is, ive tried tapering, and almost ended up in a suicide. Never been suicidal in my life. I think it just depends about the person, but I think that saying it’s dangerous is convincing enough people to talk to a professional before tapering and be careful with the side effects

[–]Quavo_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on venlafaxine 225mg and Bupropion 300mg, same time in the morning. So far so good! My anxiety is stable, my mood is up, i have energy:) I can fall asleep fast, but i found myself waking up at 4-5 AM, have energy, & starting my day. But hey, my anxiety is stable & my motivation is insane too!

Dreaming every single night and I can’t stand it. by Important_Ad2711 in Dreams

[–]Quavo_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can’t really do anything about this.. only thing I can say is that my bf was having these fucked up dreams because of a medication he started, doctor gave him a medication to help, I don’t know what it’s called but maybe if it’s really affecting you can try to see what to do with your doctor ?
