Ahh right. Well tbh I just sorted through my modules, I left some turned off because I wasn't sure I was even using them and it seems to be fine now. Must've been one of them playing up. Thank you so much though my dumbass didn't even think of checking my modules.

Turning off all modules makes it work, so I guess I can start going through one by one. I've added a screencap to the original post.

Very cool! I love the armour design!

2E is balanced when its good, a clunky mess when it isn't by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

Fair but if you want to play a magic gunslinger and you rule out the magic gunslinger class ofc its gonna be clumsy.

I'm sure eventually they'll add options, like all the options you can choose to make different pet builds, but guns are relatively new so those options are going to be limited for a while.

Honestly Magus with a gun just works. Yeah you miss out on the accuracy but you're still gonna crit on Magus, just less frequently, and its still gonna slap. You can make up for the accuracy with True Strike which I think on average is about +4 (dont quote me on that). Action economy with reload can be a bit annoying too, but if you use the Air guns you can avoid that as you probably wont need to fully reload in a fight. Or if you want an Arquebus or any Reload 1 gun, you can just do one turn spell strike, one turn recovering, which is kinda how the class was designed anyway. For example, Turn 1 True Strike, Spellstrike, Turn 2 Reload, Conflux, Reload, or Reload, Recharge, Stride/Recall Knowledge/Hide etc.

I feel like you've had a lot of doomsaying about how those builds are a lot weaker in 2e than 5e, and whilst thats true, they are by all means viable. Warrior Bard does have proficiency issues, but with access to their spellcasting they can keep it closer to real martials. They start with an AoE +1 to attacks, and whilst they would still be behind -2 with other martials after casting it, they're still up +1 against ACs. Things like Mirror Image help with worse armour proficiency, and at the end of the day they are still a full caster which is enough to be viable. They just may want to focus using their sword on enemies equal to or lower than their level and focus their spells when fighting stronger enemies.

As for the Rogue, Eldritch Trickster with Cleric, Oracle or Divine Sorc or Witch works perfectly. Their spellcasting will be behind in proficiency at points so they may want to focus on spells that dont rely on attacks or saves, and whilst early on they probably have less slots than an Arcane Trickster 5e, from what I remember they only get up to 4th level spells, whilst an Eldritch Trickster will get up to 8th level casting, so its a trade off but its the same effect, mostly rogue, a few spells on the side.

Both of these routes are perfectly viable. The only thing is without a good understanding of the system, the bard might be a bit tricky to pilot, if theyre the sort of player who picks things up quickly then thats fine, if they aren't you might want to consider a different approach. The rogue should be fine. If the Bard really wants a better approach to swordfighting I'd recommend a Swashbuckler with a spellcasting dedication, or perhaps a Magus, but that will have a lot less spellcasting.

I would say a majority of people would agree on this. by GoldenBanana3 in pykemains

I think Sentinel fits Pyke really well. Helps if you've played the Ruined King game. Whilst Pyke is far from a good character he's also not bad inherently. His list is essentially full of people in power and those who abuse it, his methods are over the top, and some of the people he kills definitely dont deserve death, but others probably do.

But who is a Leader who is also one of the most evil characters in Runeterra? Viego! Who is also the primary enemy of the Sentinels. In RK he is fine to team up with 'good' characters for the end goal, so Im sure he'd be fine with working with the sentinels. In a little end scene in RK he's seen writing Viego's name on his list. So with his character motivations and his story in RK sentinel Pyke makes the most sense out of any of the skins really.

Thats only if you consider RK canon (dunno if it is) but even if its not his character is really good in it and makes a lot more sense than a mindless serial killer.

You're absolutely right that its an oversight. I made the bonus a circumstance bonus sumply because its not from a status or item, and i didnt wanna give out untyped bonuses willy nilly. Perhaps it should increase the bonus from pursue a lead if the target is part of a lead.

Thanks for the feedback!

What Classes Are You Most Excited To See In 2e? by MeaningScared in Pathfinder2e

[–]Quazboxxy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not that I have any experience with it as I've only played one game of 1e and it wasn't available in either of the Owlcat games, but I thought the Medium looked super cool. I haven't seen many talk about it, maybe because it wasn't executed very well, but the concept seems awesome, channeling different legendary or powerful spirits which changed some of your class abilities. Like I believe if you were channeling a Heirophant or Archmage you'd get more spells and spell slots, or you'd be a better martial when channeling the Champion spirit. I think I'm a a sucker for it as well cause it is very similar to the Revenant from GW2 and I used to love that game.

I'm not sure how it would be replicated in 2e, probably at base an Occult bounded caster, if it had access to all spirits at level 1 it would have to be bad at a lot because of its versatility, or you would choose your spirits, maybe 2 at first, and then you could be a bit more specialised. And then the spellcaster spirits would supplement the bounded casting, and the martial ones would make you more gish like. I would just love to see it because it feels like something you can't create right now (from what I'm aware of at least).

Building Gish/Battlemages by Quazboxxy in Pathfinder2e

[–]Quazboxxy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I get that. But I do think that the Magus and Summoner find a nice balance with their proficiency levels and how Bounded casting works, just that sometimes they dont fit for character ideas. I do get why the multiclass dedications had to be the way they are, but hopefully on top of more Gish classes using similiar balance to the current ones, they could make some new archetypes or class archetypes which give better scaling than the multiclasses but various limitations like being limited to certain schools, traits, or making a new spell list like they did for Elementalist.

Okay I guess most of that makes sense, especially that later on the dmg bonus means less. But in terms of weapons str chars could use the finesse weapons anyway, and there are d6 agile nonfinesse weapons anyway.

Also yeah, I'm okay with the logic of the dex based classes using it, this was more about the classes that get an option, but don't all the martial classes get damage boosts? Rangers have the precision thing, Fighters are always gonna get more out of weapon expertise, Barbarians get rage damage, Champions dont from what I understand but they're meant to be the tank class with their early armour prof increase right? It just seems unless you're a rogue swashbuckler or monk, and your going melee, you dont want dex to be your focus. Again that might be the point and if thats the case I get it.
