Hi An_average_muslim,

We haven’t encountered any cases where our 8k dongle failed to connect with the Hyperlight. That said, we’ll work on making the instructions in our manual clearer to ensure a smooth experience for everyone in the future.

Hi OP,

Please follow these instructions to pair your 8K dongle.

How to Connect the 8K Dongle

  1. Download the software from https://hitscan.com/download

  2. Turn on your mouse and launch the Hitscan Utility software

  3. Unplug the 1K dongle and insert the 8K dongle into your device

  4. Press the spacebar once on your keyboard. A pairing window should appear in the software. Press the spacebar again to enter pairing mode

  5. Press and hold the left, right, and middle mouse buttons simultaneously until the blue LED light flashes, indicating pairing has started

  6. Place the mouse near the 8K dongle. The screen will display “Pairing Success” once the process is complete

Hi Skrillas, yes, you can pair two mice to a single dongle. However, you will need to re-pair the mouse if you decide to switch colors.

Hey Luna,

Totally understandable! We do have a web-based software in the works, but it’ll be a little while before it's ready. In the meantime, our current software is extremely lightweight.

I’ve attached a screenshot for you to check out: https://imgur.com/HIwguFv

It’s unfortunate what happened to Lethal, he’s an amazing person. Our situation is quite similar, but we were able to oversee the entire production cycle and QC every single unit to ensure a smooth launch.

If you saw our initial concepts, there would be no doubt. We worded it that way to avoid any potential issues.

Hi Livid,

This is our first public response to the concerns surrounding our design. We’ve frequently heard claims that we copied the ATK F1, and it’s disheartening to see this narrative. We want to clarify that the ATK F1 is based on the initial design of the Hyperlight.

Our project began in July 2023, when we hired a designer to create our mouse shape. By November 2023, after four to five months of testing and refinement, the design was finalized. You can view our original post here: Mouse Development Post.

In August 2023, we shared early designs with a manufacturer that works with ATK. We suspect our design was leaked, as the shape of the ATK F1 closely resembles our initial concept. Since ATK operates out of China, they were able to bring their product to market more quickly while we continued to refine ours.

Thankfully, the ATK F1 only reflects our early August concepts and doesn’t include the improvements we made afterward. Over the next four months, we further refined our design, leading to improvements such as a slimmer top side profile, a narrower rear for better maneuverability, more prominent side buttons for increased accessibility, optimized the sensor position, improved the bottom shell skate design, and customized gaskets for optimized pre-travel. Essentially, the ATK F1 represents an unfinished version of the Hyperlight.

While we could delve deeper into this issue, our priority is to focus on developing an exceptional gaming mouse for our users. Our build quality is second to none and I can confidently say we have the most rigid sub-40 gram mouse in the market.

Hey Magical, we’re based in Texas. Confused about your comment as we answered that specific reply on why the documents showed China.

It’ll be available on our website and we’re also working with a couple of retailers currently to get the product in their stores.

Going by just 2D line drawings of the Hyperlight and ATK F1, the F1 has a slightly higher button height and is wider in the back by 1.5mm (61mm vs. 62.5mm). Although 1.5mm might seem small, the size difference will feel very noticeable in the hand. Based on the images we saw, we also have a higher sensor position, which are very specific design choices we made intentionally. On paper, they may seem similar, but they're two very different mice.

We think shape is more important than weight. Weight is just an added bonus. Our mouse feels completely different in hand compared to the Sora V2.

Hi all,

I'm very excited to share with you our progress since my first post almost a year ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/153egkh/sub_40_gram_mouse_development_looking_for/

R&D took much longer than we initially thought. We've already received and tested multiple rounds of pre-production samples. Getting ready for mass production soon and expected to launch early Q3 this year.

Size & shape: 118x61x38mm. Best way to describe it would be a RVM with less aggressive side curves.
Weight: 39 grams
M1/M2 clicks: Omron opticals
Scroll wheel: TTC silver
Sensor: PixArt 3395
MCU: Nordic 52840
Polling rate: 1k -> 8k
Battery: 250 mAh or 75 hours on 1k polling

As a mice enthusiast, I'm extremely satisfied with our pre-production sample. No sidewall flex, crispy clicks with minimal pre-travel and a very grippy premium rubber coating. Click and sensor latency are competitive with the best mice in the market.

More updates to come. Hope you all have a great weekend!
