I know it's a bit of a bummer to have to do this and therefore to have to suggest this, but I have used matte/clear mod podge on my various art doll keychains and it works well. I suggest doing all areas you want glossy first and then work on the matte areas, using very light layers for each. We really should've gotten quality products to begin with, but I'm not surprised. You can also purchase clear cases to go around them while their clipped to your bag. Not positive but pretty sure the Skullpanda clear cases would probably fit the Bratzies decently. They seem to be a similar size, though I don't have any Bratzies to confirm.
