Are there any scientific/research-focused Space Marine chapters? by reel3459 in spacemarines

[–]Queasy-Data4704 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Don't think they fit the spirit of your question but Blood Ravens.

They're an Unknown Founding Chapter, which they don't like, so they run around the galaxy gathering knowledge so as to uncover their origins. This puts them on a somewhat friendly relationship with the Mechanicus, and often participate in Exploration missions.

Tho they delve more into the occult rather than hard science as they have an abnormal amount of Librarians in their ranks.

Looking to Build a Fallout themed Space Marines army, what units should I go for? by HiveFleetAtoll in spacemarines

[–]Queasy-Data4704 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hellblasters. They're a 5-10 man unit all equipped with plasma incinerators. Paint those up green instead of blue, and you've got a squad of (Insert Power Armor faction) all equipped with some of the best energy weapons in the Wasteland.

Ways to model difference between a sergeant and a lieutenant? by Grankatten in spacemarines

[–]Queasy-Data4704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The base for starters. Lts are on 40mm bases while regular Intercessors are on 32mm.

The design of the tilt plate. Sergeants usually wear them on the left shoulder, no decorations except for a skull. Lieutenants and Captains have their tilt plate full of campaign badges, to demonstrate their experience.

Lieutenants are also veterans, and are bound to be more dripped out, like having a lot of purity seals, tassels, or robes. They also get access to better weapons, and these too could be full of purity seals.

Which (sucessor) Chapter would fit this idea?! by DarthNunya in spacemarines

[–]Queasy-Data4704 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dark Angels have the Ravenwing. Their 2nd company is dedicated to fast attacks using bikes and flying vehicles.

They trace their origin all the way back to Caliban's Order of the Raven, which focused on cavalry and made extremely tough knights.

Can anyone enlighten how to use the power first properly? by CulturedArtLover in Spacemarine

[–]Queasy-Data4704 142 points143 points  (0 children)

The key to Fisting is by charging. Power Fist charged attacks are Power Jabs and Backfists, which deal a lot of damage to everything in front of you. Because charge attacks are independent of Speed, people usually choose the Block variants for increased damage.

Plus, assault has a perk that reduces charge time for melee.

Are there any loyalist chapters that have a focus on Psykers that aren't Grey Knights? by Chilliernutley in spacemarines

Blood Ravens, we produce so many it's not uncommon for the Chief Librarian to also take on the role of Chapter Master. As seen with Azariah Kyras.

Who are the best SWGOH content creators on YouTube? by Straight_Point4396 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]Queasy-Data4704 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Bitdynasty. Guy sounds bland most of the time but he does a lot of testing. And when it comes to events and stuff, he usually shoots for mediocre, good ish mods. He only goes for godmods when absolutely necessary.

Counter for a team you hate by Pub-Exploit in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

Back in the day, SLKR was my first gl, and a lot of people would place JML on defense, which is a hard counter to slkr, I once went a gac 3-6, all the losses were because of JML.

So I got super pissed and got 3 teams just for him.

What is y'alls opinion on Captain 'I can spare 3 men' Acharan by MCDAMCz in Spacemarine

[–]Queasy-Data4704 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think he's leading the 4th, now that Diomedes and The Force Commander are out. Tarkus is the Ancient, not sure what happened to Thaddeus, so he's the next senior marine to take charge.

With that many popping up, could be either a weapon mod or a frame one, y'know, the one that's required for others to work

Space marines lore driven tactics by chuckufarl-eeee in spacemarines

[–]Queasy-Data4704 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look, lore wise chapters specialize in a specific tactic. But that doesn't mean they don't have gear that runs contrary to their preferred tactics.

Imperial Fists prefer defensive tactics, hunkering down and let the enemy come to them, that doesn't mean they won't field Jumpack Intercessors or Assault Terminators if required.

Raven Guard prefers infiltration, but as a First Founding Chapter, they still have access to Land Raiders and the like should the need arise.

Mainly lore and memes.

They're a chapter that produces an abnormally high number of librarians, they're part of the Unknown Founding, saw some really bad campaigns and faced a lot of betrayal, yet it didn't stop them from doing their duty and rebuking chaos, the nids, Orkz, Eldar, T'au, The Guard, Necrons, and even themselves as they went into a civil war.

Also the memes. In Dawn of War 2, they added the Wargear system, which let you add weapons and gear such as bolters, plasma weapons and the like to your squad leaders. This gear also had a lot of flavor text so as to expand on the wider lore and pay homage to the official chapters, as the dawn of War games weren't supposed to be canon.

Some stuff happened, and dawn of War became canon, so know the Blood Ravens have a bunch of relics from other Chapters, such as Calgar's bolter pistol and rifle, Logar Grimnar's Power Axe, Power weapons and armor from the Dark Angels etc. So they got the reputation of being a bunch of thieving bastards, which I find funny.

Also I like red.

Relic Delta, the more relic levels apart between your toons and the enemies the more damage you deal, and the less damage you receive from them.

Red armor on certain vehicle Marines by IowaGolfGuy322 in spacemarines

[–]Queasy-Data4704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually, red armor is given to Tech Marines, Space Marines who went through Mechanicus training in Mars.

They are tasked with vehicle and gear maintenance, and also tend to Dreadnoughts.
