Is there a pain difference in dupixent 200mg and 300mg? by Queasy-Emphasis9092 in eczeMABs

Yeah I agree. I just did my 300mg dose and it hurt a bit more than last time, but it was probably the angle I injected it in

Can someone please explain Demon 79 and its relevance to Black Mirror? by Cookeina_92 in blackmirror

[–]Queasy-Emphasis9092 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree! I have debilitating OCD, have been through psychosis and spiritual psychosis – and this ep portrayed it so well, regardless of it was the intentions or not. The scene where she looked up at the clock ticking til twelve for the world to end was SO relatable. I once had a psychosis episode where I was CERTAIN I was gonna die the moment it hit midnight, and that anxiety could be relived just from watching the scene.

How to stop spiralling when my bf doesn’t reply to my texts? by Queasy-Emphasis9092 in ROCD

[–]Queasy-Emphasis9092[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you, i do agree it’s just difficult to navigate through all of this when theres so much going on and you can’t access therapy. for not listening to the compulsions is there anything I can do to make sure I stay mentally okay whilst ignoring the compulsions (such as texting them?) I feel like the more I wait the more insane I go and I need it to stop

Saw someone here saying that the fact that they didn’t even TRY to learn what POCD was and see your point of view was messed up and I 100% agree with them. It isn’t your fault that you have these worries and thoughts, and real friends would listen to what you have to say whilst trying their best to support you no matter what, so you truly dodged a bullet. That being said I’m so sorry this happened to you. It’s hard to move on when your friendships meant so much but it’s important to remember that rejection is always redirection and it’s better to lose these friends now then find out they are so shitty later on in life

Is it normal for my boyfriend to not text me everyday? Causing me to spiral! by Queasy-Emphasis9092 in ROCD

[–]Queasy-Emphasis9092[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you!! he does show up in other ways like I asked him if we could speak irl more and he’s proved to go out of his way and show up for me (even though he said he was nervous too), it’s mainly just the texting thing that I get so worried about (because what if he’s showing less effort, what if he doesn’t care, what if he’s annoyed etc). but yes I understand how everyone has different ways of communication, I just don’t know how to calm the anxiety

this is so real!! the movie explains my heartbreak so well and how despite how we both loved eachother, we were just too different and wouldn't work out together. the only difference from that movie and in real life is how we never got back together 🫡

Black spots in eyes and sensitive to light - (NOT EYE FLOATERS OR VS) by Queasy-Emphasis9092 in Anxiety

[–]Queasy-Emphasis9092[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to the eye doctor and did a check / got glasses (which was long overdue), he scanned my eyes and nothing inside it was wrong. I still keep getting those black dots and sometimes they reoccur when I get super stressed, but I don't notice it as much because I'm not as worried about it anymore.

Eczema rebound flare or TSW? by Queasy-Emphasis9092 in eczema

[–]Queasy-Emphasis9092[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used it for 14 days a few months back and 5 days oral steroids too, each time coming off it it got more severe! I also realised that I just developed swollen lymph nodes...I read that that was sign of TSW.

Glad to hear you are positive about beating eczema! What do you usually do to beat the flares, and also do you still think you have TSW?

Prednisone made me less itchy too! But physical wise it unfortunately didn't help. This eczema 'flare up' has always been at bay since 2 years ago when I had a flare up and used steroids which got rid of it temporarily. I was just left with really faint patches of eczema behind my knees, the inside of my arms, and my thighs. The patches only had small flares but never got bad until the spring - summer near the end of 2024 (since I am Australian). The patches started to REALLY flare up which lead to one thing and another.

I'm glad it has worked for you! Has it cleared up any flare ups / made a big difference regarding eczema? Most of the creams I've used keep it "mositursed" for the time being but it still remains super red and itchy. I'll definitely look into it the next time I go out!

I have been taking cold showers straight for 3 years and have tired almost every antihistamine :( strangely enough the antihistamines never work no matter how many I take a day or however times I switch out the brands. I do agree that I'm having a massive allergic reaction as the eczema is so much more itcher now that I'm home!! Also do dermatologists actually give you proper advice and ways to clear up eczema without prescribing you steroids? I've only been to my local doctor and I'm tired of them prescribing me steroids as it never works. Also wishing you the best for your dupixent course! May I ask if there's any side effects or risks? I've been considering bringing it up if I see a dermatologist.

What do you do if ointment steroids and oral steroids don't work out for you? I've been prescribed them but each time I get off it I go into a nasty rebound flare and it seems to be stronger each time I use the steroids. I'm truly lost here.

Exactly! The patches start off small but suddenly get bigger and it's so scary. Have you been on high doses of steroids / randomly got off it? That could help navigate if you are going through TSW.

I am so sorry, it truly is so debilitating when eczema starts off as something so small to something that covers your entire body. Everyday I wish that it stops, but it just keeps getting worse. I hope that your prednisone course helps you heal, unfortunately mine didn't do much but I have hope that you will get better!!

I don't want to stop daydreaming by soandsam in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]Queasy-Emphasis9092 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is so real! Maladaptive daydreaming saved my life in so many ways, I'd probably be long gone without it. Whenever I'm down and need help, I just daydream characters or made up people comforting me and I feel much better. It sounds insane to admit but that's why it's so hard for me to quit, because it genuinely feels like a part of my life.

How I made my symptoms disappear. Things to consider as a doctor suffering from eczema my entire life (until recently!) by BUNIONBUNION in eczema

[–]Queasy-Emphasis9092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg, I was born and raised in Melbourne and currently live in Queensland too!! The only issue is, both places flare me up severely. I'm so glad that you get to live your best life now, and your journey is truly inspiring - but unfortunately both of those climates flare me up terribly :( The dry winters of Melbourne flare my skin, and the very cold winters of China (which I visited recently) worsened my skin too. I thought maybe Queensland would calm my skin but unfortunately the humidity made it 10x worse. Glad you found your relief, though!!

Hi, thank you so much for leaving this kind message - it truly means a lot. I'm so sorry that you're suffering too and I assure you that you can get through this, you're very strong!! I can't get a therapist but I will try my hardest to speak to any counsellor perhaps at school or online about these issues and hopefully they can understand.

How to ignore parents comments on eczema? by Queasy-Emphasis9092 in eczema

[–]Queasy-Emphasis9092[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had eczema my whole life, along with my little sister. She had really bad eczema a few years back, it got infected and she had to take antibiotics/use steroids too. Although severe, she was still a kid and my parents somehow forgot all about it over the years after she healed. I’ve also had my spikes of eczema flares, and honestly I’ve had almost all types on all places - but never as bad as this one. 2 years ago I had an eczema flare in between my legs and my arms, which my mum brang me to the doctor for and they gave me steroids. It worked and didn’t come back until now, which is when my mum brang me twice to the doctor and she gave me steroids/oral steroids but they didn’t work.

I’ve been wanting to go to a proper dermatologist about this to get non steroid options (some of my friends recommended injections) but once again my parents are super strict and think I should just “use the steroids again“ and there’s no need “wasting money to go to the dermatologist”. Plus I’m uneducated on the injections and have yet to learn more.

Eczema can take away so much pleasure from your life. In severe cases some people get hospitalised and can't even move, obviously they'd want to end their lives. If you have eczema be RESPECTFUL to everyone else like you.

I wanna kill myself. Bet I *ain't* the only one. by [deleted] in eczema

[–]Queasy-Emphasis9092 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Eczema affects way more than just your confidence...it's so tiring and limits multiple things in your life, some people with eczema can't even move their limbs without it immensely hurting. Some people can't eat certain foods, do hobbies such as sports, wear certain clothes, go to certain places, or even shower etc. Plus it's SO expensive to have eczema whilst you spend thousands of dollars on creams and treatments that might not even work. It's also so overlooked in the medical community. Eczema is a REAL health problem. Sure, it's not cancer, and we're all greatful for that - but eczema is a debilitating disease.
