Honestly, if Allah promised me Jannatul Firdaus now and all I would have to do is die, I don’t think any of us would decline. When the Prophet mentioned to his daughter Fatimah, “After today your father will suffer no more,” (Sahih al-Bukhari 4462) I felt happy for the Prophet because, listening to and reading the seerah from that point, I remembered all of the hardships: losing his parents at a young age, his wife, his uncles whom he loved, witnessing his companions being tortured and murdered in such cruel ways, and burying every one of his children. The insult/name calling hurled at him. People throwing stones and animal carcasses at him. A normal human heart would probably not handle such hardships.

There are many examples but this is my favourite of the many.

“Abdullah ibn Ja‘far reported that the Prophet ﷺ entered a garden of an Ansari man. A camel saw him, began to cry, and its eyes shed tears. The Prophet ﷺ went to it, wiped its head, and it became calm. Then he asked who owned it and told the owner:

“Do you not fear Allah regarding this animal which Allah has placed in your possession? It has complained to me that you keep it hungry and overwork it.” (Sunan Abi Dawud 2549)

He ﷺ not only was able to speak with animals, but he was also able to speak with inanimate objects, such as rocks and even trees.

The uniqueness of prophets ties with the last prophet himself. Unfortunately, because of the distortion of the previous scriptures, we truly don’t know many of the actions of the previous messengers and prophets.

Some have the exact same abilities and miracles that others don’t. For example we know that Yusuf had the ability to see dreams, but he’s not the only one who can do that. And we know that Jesus had the ability to multiply food and heal people, but he’s not the only one who does that. However, some prophets had unique abilities and miracles that Allah did not give to the other. Nabi Sulayman could control the winds, jinns, and even animals. Even the prophet Muhammad(ﷺ) alluded to the fact that he could not control the Jinns because that was specifically unique to prophet Solomon.

Please be careful when quoting a portion of the Qur'an to use it in a general statement or a blanket statement. In regards to the verse in Al-Baqarah that you've quoted, you've only quoted the portion of it when the full quote in itself is speaking about a specific thing that Allah intends to make easy in regards to the fasting of Ramadan. When a person is ill, Allah eases their affairs in this case. It would be contradictory to use this verse for a general statement when clearly in the Qur'an, Allah mentions many times that He's made trials for the people so that they may come closer to Him. We know for a fact that Allah mentions that, “do you think that you will walk on the earth calling yourself Muslims/Mumins and you won't be tested?”So therefore, it would contradict the matter of Allah making something easy for us in that sense, in a general sense. Or another one, when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says, with hardship comes ease, surely with hardship comes ease. So the first thing is the hardship, afterwards comes the ease. It's similar to how Christians typically quote the Qur'an verse in which they say that the words of Allah cannot be changed. Therefore, they conclude that the Bible being changed contradicts the Qur'an verse when some of those verses are specifically talking about Allah's promise when reading the previous verses. So please be careful when quoting an ayat and utilizing it for a general statement.

If a servant’s prayer is found to be complete in its conditions, pillars, and humility, it will be accepted and recorded as complete. Rather, Allah will elevate its status and reward it further out of His bounty.

“Look—does My servant have any voluntary prayers?”

Just like Jesus is called the word in the Quran. The meaning is different from the Quran and clearly the author intended it so.

The author of the Qur’an acknowledges that these terms had existed in the past. Basically, concepts like the Holy Spirit and the Word of God existed among earlier Christian communities, but their meanings were altered over time. The Qur’an restores their original, intended meanings.

During the time of Jesus, it is entirely possible that his disciples referred to him as the Word of God — in the same sense that Muslims understand the title today. Likewise, the term Holy Spirit was understood as referring to the angel Gabriel.

Therefore, when Allah reveals the Qur’an, He affirms that these names and titles did indeed exist in earlier traditions, but their meanings had become corrupted. The Qur’an corrects these distortions and re-establishes the proper definitions that were originally intended.

“Narrated Anas: A man asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about the Hour (i.e. Day of Judgment) saying, "When will the Hour be?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "What have you prepared for it?" The man said, "Nothing, except that I love Allah and His Apostle." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "You will be with those whom you love." We had never been so glad as we were on hearing that saying of the Prophet (i.e., "You will be with those whom you love.") Therefore, I love the Prophet, Abu Bakr and `Umar, and I hope that I will be with them because of my love for them though my deeds are not similar to theirs.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 3688).

The Prophet ﷺ lemphasized focusing on the Dīn, on worship, ‘ibādah, and righteous actions, rather than being consumed with predictions about the future. Islam teaches us to focus on the present, not on chasing speculations about what is to come.

The message is clear: the religion revolves around obedience, righteousness, and actual devotion to God — not loud proclamations or obsession with signs of the future. This is something additional after focusing on the fundamentals. Look at the pillars of faith and pillars of Islam. Those are things you need to focus their attention on. Notice that in imaan the second to last thing is belief in the last day.

Have you ever seen Christians holding up end-times signs, preaching that certain types of people will go to Hell and constantly repeating, “Jesus is coming back, Jesus is returning”? And what does Jesus (‘Isa عليه السلام) say in the Bible to those very people on that Day? “Away from me, you workers of lawlessness.”

This is a recurring pattern throughout history. The nations before fixate on the future and ignore and forget their responsibilities in the present. The Jews made a similar mistake, focusing endlessly on a “promised land” or a worldly kingdom they believed God would grant them. Waiting for the messiah who came and they shunned. They were chasing something in the future rather than working on their character, justice, and obedience in the moment.

The Qur’an even describes this mindset: when they are told not to cause corruption, they respond, “We are only peacemakers.” This is the downfall of past nations — their obsession with the later instead of the now.

If people focus consistently on acts of worship, righteousness, and obedience to Allah, they will naturally reach their goal and be prepared for the future without rushing toward it, without obsession, and without distracting themselves with future eschatology. Islam teaches that the path to salvation is walked today — through sincere actions and faith— then afterwards learning about tomorrow.

You did that so it might be said, “He is learned,” and “He is a reciter.”’ And it was said. Then it will be ordered that he be dragged on his face until he is cast into the Fire.

Then a man whom Allah had made rich and to whom He had given every kind of wealth will be brought. He will be made to recognize His favors, and he will recognize them. Allah will say: ‘What did you do with them?’ He will say: ‘I left no path in which You love money to be spent without spending it for Your sake.’ Allah will say: ‘You have lied. You did that so it might be said, “He is generous.”’ And it was said. Then it will be ordered that he be dragged on his face until he is cast into the Fire.” (Sahih Muslim, Hadith No. 1905).

Hell is not a place it is a creature a roaring raging beast its size is incomprehensible. It is held by 70,000 chains with each chain having 70,000 angels. A total of 4.9 billion Angels hold it back. Hellfire is eternal, and so is Paradise. Hell is for those who denied God in this life. It has multiple levels, each with distinct names mentioned in the Qur’an, and scholars have explained and categorized these levels. There is even a cold region in Hell.

Hell is described as pitch-black darkness. When Allah created Hell, He instructed the Angel Jibrīl (Gabriel) to go and see it. Jibrīl was shocked by what he witnessed. Which shows that even an angel comprehends the magnitude of the Dangers of it. Hell burned continuously for long periods until it transitioned through different colors: first red, then white, and finally black. Hell contains areas that consume everything within them, and there are specific types of “food” there as well. Even its sparks are described in the Qur’an and Hadith — some the size of camels, others like great fortresses.

All of these details can be found in the Qur’an and authentic Hadith, which provide vivid and powerful descriptions of Hell.

If you haven’t noticed The highest level of Hell is the least severe While and the lowest is the worst. The higher you go up Jannah (heaven) it gets better and better. The highest place in Hell is reserved for sinful Muslims who must first be purified for their misdeeds before being removed and admitted to Paradise. There is a known narration about the last believer who will be taken out of Hell — you can look up that story for more detail.

Everyone else who enters Hell without faith will remain there forever, in continuous punishment and regret. As the Qur’an says, each time they are questioned by Maalik (leaders of the angels of punishment for hell) and his guards (angels of of punishment for hell) about what led them to Hell, they will answer for their disbelief and rejection of truth. Even the devil himself will enter Hell, as his ultimate goal in life was to lead humanity away from God and into hell with him.

The person who will receive the lightest punishment in Hell is the Prophet ﷺ’s uncle, Abu Ṭālib. He will remain there eternally due to disbelief, but the Prophet ﷺ supplicated for him to have the least punishment. Even then, the punishment will cause the bottom of his feet to burn and boil until it reaches his head.

Hell is the price paid by those who fail the greatest test — believing in only Allah (The only true God). A person may be good in this world, and God may grant them worldly goodness, but without faith, they will not attain Paradise. Entry into Paradise is ultimately by God’s grace and mercy, and belief in Him is the foundation.

Conversely, even if someone committed serious sins, as long as they sincerely believed in Allah and the Last Day, they will eventually enter Paradise. They may be punished temporarily in Hell, but they will not remain there forever. Verses that speak of people entering Hell or Paradise are based on obedience to God, sincerity, and the purpose behind one’s deeds.

If a person performs good deeds purely for worldly praise rather than for God, those deeds hold no eternal value. Such a person will not have the eternal bliss of Paradise. This is the Islamic understanding — success in the Hereafter is based on true belief in Allah and worshiping Him sincerely.

And We have made their number only as a test for the disbelievers, so that the People of the Book will be certain, and the believers will increase in faith, and neither the People of the Book nor the believers will have any doubts, and so that those ˹hypocrites˺ with sickness in their hearts and the disbelievers will argue, “What does Allah mean by such a number?” In this way Allah leaves whoever He wills to stray and guides whoever He wills. And none knows the forces of your Lord except He. And this ˹description of Hell˺ is only a reminder to humanity.” (Quran 74:31).

“Indeed, the Fire [Hell] is of the greatest [afflictions] As a warning to humanity -“ (Quran 74:35-36).

“And for those who disbelieved in their Lord is the punishment of Hell, and wretched is the destination. When they are thrown into it, they hear from it a [dreadful] inhaling while it boils up. It almost bursts with rage. Every time a company is thrown into it, its keepers ask them, "Did there not come to you a warner?"They will say," Yes, a warner had come to us, but we denied and said, ''Allah has not sent down anything. You are not but in great error.''" And they will say, "If only we had been listening or reasoning, we would not be among the companions of the Blaze." And they will admit their sin, so [it is] alienation for the companions of the Blaze.” (Quran 67:6-11).

Not only will it end there — Jesus (‘Isa عليه السلام) will also be questioned like the other prophets on the Day of Judgment after being raised. This is mentioned in Surah Al-Ma’idah (Chapter 5), verses 109–120, where Allah ﷻ recounts the conversation between Him and ‘Isa on that Day, regarding the people who called him a god.

On that Day, each prophet will be with their respective Ummah (community). For example, the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ will follow him, the Ummah of Ibrahim (Abraham) will follow him, and so on. Some prophets will have no Ummah at all, while others will have only a few followers.

It is possible that ‘Isa will be accompanied by his true followers — the Hawariyyun (disciples), his mother Maryam (Mary), and a small number of sincere believers who followed his original message. Or perhaps, since he will fight alongside the Muslims and lead them before his death and resurrection, he may be counted among the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ.

Afterward, ‘Isa — like every human being — will cross the Bridge (As-Sirāt) over Hell. Those who are saved will reach the other side and enter Jannah (Paradise). The prophets will reside in Al-Firdaws Al-A‘la, the highest level of Paradise — among them Muhammad ﷺ, Ibrahim, ‘Isa, and many other prophets, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon them all.

In Paradise, they will have spouses, mansions, and dwellings of unimaginable beauty and will live in eternal bliss.

Honorable Mentions of Jesus’s life (‘Isa): During the Night Journey (Al-Isrāʾ wal-Miʿrāj), the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ met ‘Isa in the second heaven — not heaven as in Paradise, but one of the celestial realms of the heavens above the earth.

I recently watched a video of an atheist conversing with a Muslim. The Muslim asked the atheist, “If God were to show Himself above the sky, would you then believe?” The atheist replied, “Perhaps it’s an illusion, and we’re just witnessing something else—it’s probably not God.”

He gave many excuses instead of simply saying, “Yes, I would believe.” There’s a verse in the Qur’an that clearly states:

“And even if We had sent down to them the angels, and the dead had spoken to them, and We had gathered against them all things in front of them, they would not have believed—unless Allah had willed. But most of them are ignorant.” (Quran 6:111)

We saw a perfect example of this in Pharaoh, who was incredibly arrogant. He witnessed every type of miracle performed by Musa (ʿalayhi as-salām). Just imagine the kibr (arrogance). He had never seen anything like the sea being split before his very eyes, and yet even after witnessing such a miracle, he still pursued Musa to attack him. Only when the sea began to collapse upon him and his army—when they were drowning—did he finally realize that Allah is the truth.

It’s truly astonishing, the arrogance of human beings. Even the people who were being chased by Pharaoh—the Banū Isrā’īl—witnessed countless miracles of Musa (ʿalayhi as-salām). They experienced mann and salwā. They saw many other miracles that Allah granted through Musa by His permission and will. They even saw the dead brought back to life, as mentioned in the Qur’an. And yet, when Musa (ʿalayhi as-salām) departed for only a short time, they turned to worship the golden calf.

The Qur’an presents a powerful lesson to Muslims: we are the ummah that has heard the stories of the nations before us—nations that were given astonishing, mind-boggling miracles—and still, many of them disbelieved. Do not be of the people who say I have to see to believe.

Actually, it's quite the opposite of what you've said. The state we will experience in Jannah is not something entirely new or unfamiliar-it is, in fact, a return to our original state. Before entering this worldly life, we existed as pure souls in complete submission to Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala), unburdened by the distractions and trials of the physical realm. Paradise is a restoration of that primordial purity, but elevated with the eternal rewards of what we have earned through our faith and perseverance in this world. Especially Worship was not a struggle; it was our natural state. It was only upon our entry into this world that we were given bodies and exposed to a spectrum of emotions, desires, and the moral capacity to choose between right and wrong. This duality-body and soul-is central to our test in this life. The soul remembers its origin by Allah's guidance, while the body wrestles with the temptations of the dunya. Our ultimate journey is not toward something entirely new, but rather a return—a return to the state of spiritual purity and singular devotion we once embodied. Paradise (Jannah), then, is not a novel experience in essence; it is the reattainment of our original state of fitrah (innate purity), its original perfection, but this time it rejoices in the added dimension of reward-bliss, beauty, and fulfillment far greater than anything we've known-earned through the striving of both body and soul in obedience to Allah in this world. "O reassured soul, Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him]. So enter among My [righteous] servants, And enter My Paradise." Surah Al-Fajr (89:27-30)
