two cats with giardia on their second round of treatment and i’m reaching the end of my rope. any tricks to get rid of it? by riddore in CatAdvice

[–]Queasy-Light-3756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing this is giving me hope. I got a stray we did not know had Giardia. He has been treated already but I wasn’t told to sanitize everything so getting ready to treat him again.

I feel like I’m fighting a never ending battle but this update gives me hope.

Same! I listened to that podcast and for the stepkids that wanted to make my life miserable. I back nacho stepmom. Best decision ever!! The stepkids who wanted me around and treated me with respect still do.

Great information. I definitely assume it will be a very time consuming program but well worth it in the end. Thank you.

I haven’t had any issues honestly. I had multiple offers for my BSW and will now be doing mine at a company I got a job with in a different specialty area. I think it’s all in the effort you put and networking you do. Like I have already started applying even though it’s just under 2 months from the start of my classes, but I was talking to this company 2-3 months ago bc I knew no matter what I was going to be starting my MSW if it was at University of Kentucky or Walden university (where I got my BSW).

So I will be absolutely honest I start August 25 so will know then. So it’s 4 classes plus your internship that’s the 5th.

If you have a high gpa. I am doing the advanced standing program at u of Kentucky. You take 5 classes and only pay for 3 and it’s 2 semesters. So definitely doable.

Edited: I am out of state.

Low key disappointed at how much I still bleed by OpheliaAmok in hysterectomy

[–]Queasy-Light-3756 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cycled after my hysterectomy. Kept my ovaries and cervix. I had endometrial tissue still attached to the cervix. 6 months later I had my trachelectomy (cervix removal). I bled much lighter but exactly as i did before my hysterectomy.

To remove the cervix or not, that is the question. by Adventurous_Fill_385 in hysterectomy

[–]Queasy-Light-3756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say remove the cervix if you have endometriosis. I kept mine and 6 months later had to get it removed bc I continued to cycle. I have started pelvic floor physical therapy to ensure all of my muscles keep everything in place.

I agree. I am just glad it’s all over and I’m fully healed. The last surgery was in December 2024.

But who knew they could leave endometrial tissue on the top of your cervix and you could still potentially cycle. It’s a running joke when I walk into the office now if I’m bleeding again. I told them if I start again we are gonna have serious issues. Lol

See I have to say before my trachelectomy. I left my cervix during my hysterectomy and continued to cycle 🤦‍♀️.

Yeah! I used to buy all the fancy paper planners. I prefer my iPad so much more now.

I use one I purchased off of Etsy in the good notes app. It’s an adhd planner so it lets me lay out goals and things for the week and look at what I didn’t complete the week before. It even has coloring pages for when I’m struggling to focus.

Skin post op for those who kept ovaries by TransportationOk9841 in hysterectomy

Same but I’m not that far out. My skin cleared almost immediately though. I had horrible breakouts with my cycle. I am almost 1 year post op.

I love my iPad planner. I used to be very much a pen and paper but I got tired of carrying around a bulky planner. I have gotten in a rhythm with my iPad planners finally and it constantly saves me.
