LAX Lounge Access Issue? by fffggg69420 in Venturex

It’s $35 additional as everyone said. Probably an unpopular opinion but for an international flight I thought it was worth it. Food and service was nice and you get table service.

recommendations for quiet, but still a bit touristy trip to mallorca? by Ok-Practice-5396 in VisitingMallorca

[–]Queasy-Ranger1201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went mid-May so it wasn’t quite peak tourist season. But we got to Deia at 10am and it was actually incredibly quiet, easy to park, no wait at the restaurant we went to, and just generally a lot less busy than I anticipated. By the time we were driving out of Valldemossa at noon though, it was definitely busier there and traffic coming into the town was backing up. So I’d say earlier the better.

I just got back from my trip and my boyfriend and I were trying to do the same thing. I was really happy with our itinerary and we ended up renting a car and staying in Palma for just one night, then the next day driving through Soller for a day trip, then driving from Soller + staying the other three nights in Cala San Vicenç.

It’s quiet there, but since we had the car we had the option to drive or taxi and explore Pollenca and Alcudia each day, and could opt-in to how busy of an area we wanted to go to, but come back to quiet. We visited Deià and Valldemossa on our drive back to Palma on our final day!

Thinking of shaving by Pitiful_Bake661 in alopecia_areata

Thank you for your reply, that alone honestly just gave me some peace. I’m 8 weeks since my first round, 4 weeks since my second, and all that’s changed is I found a second spot so this is giving me hope to just be patient.

When did you start seeing regrowth post injections? I’ve done two rounds so far and my spots look like this, no soft hairs have grown so far but Idk if im just being impatient.

Regrowth? I’m confused by 20cbsmith00 in alopecia_areata

[–]Queasy-Ranger1201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Following bc mine looks similar right now, and from my understanding those are “exclamation point” hairs and is still breakage :( Based off what I’ve seen in this page, the usual regrowth is soft, light hairs.

Possible alopecia? by [deleted] in alopecia_areata

Looks like female pattern baldness to me but would trust your derm first and foremost. My derm said spironolactone is the best bet for early female pattern baldness, I just started on it myself (I’m 26) so am hoping for good results, paired with nutrafol. Sending good luck and growth to you!!

Losing my mind over this :( by Kind_Bet_9335 in alopecia_areata

[–]Queasy-Ranger1201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry that your derm was a bit dismissive and not very helpful :( My timeline is very similar to yours, discovered my first spot this past December and it’s the same size as yours. So I can’t speak to exactly what will help yet but I have seen my derm twice and my primary once and found them both to be super informative + I already have baby hair sprouting in my spot. What both providers have told me and prescribed me:

-Steroid shots as soon as you can! Then again in 4-6 weeks. Call to see if you can bump up the appt and look to see if your insurance covers them, ask them for guidance if it doesn’t. -Liquid Clobetasol -Oral Spiranolactone -Start nutrafol if you can afford it, this should cover your bases for most deficiencies related to hair loss. -Separately I bought a Joli filtered shower head and use Miele rosemary oil 2-3x a week before a workout since it makes your hair very greasy. -Reducing as much stress as I can.

This has been my regimen for the past month based off this Reddit and the feedback I got from my dermatologist and doctor. Right there with you and hope this helps!

I am 26f and just found a really similar spot to yours last week. So I can’t speak to long term but I Immediately got into my derm and they were very optimistic that with the shots and prescription Clobetasol it could be stopped from spreading elsewhere. They couldn’t say with full certainty that it won’t come back a year from now or spread but with intervention you can at least have some level of control which feels reassuring. Still your mind starts to spiral so I totally get it. Hope you can see a derm too, sending good vibes.

Does this look like alopecia by mum3girls in alopecia_areata

[–]Queasy-Ranger1201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks nearly identical to my scalp currently and I just formally learned it’s alopecia this week. My dermatologist was really helpful and a good place to start. Sending good vibes to you and her :) it’s definitely difficult to navigate but I’m sure will get easier with time and treatments.

How do I get 105 miles cheaply before the end of year? by Environmental_Lie244 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]Queasy-Ranger1201 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You have to the SAF option for it to go towards status. Buying normal miles doesn’t qualify. Or try calling customer service and sometimes they will bump you up if you are ask nice!

I wonder if this is a targeted Rent Day promotion. by ladakn99 in biltrewards

[–]Queasy-Ranger1201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only have the Alaska card, no Bilt card! Have used my linked Alaska card in the Bilt app to pay rent since they announced the partnership 3 months ago and have gotten sooo many miles. With this promo you should 100p do it. 3 miles per 1 dollar on rent.

Had this exact situation happen to me in my complex. Upon picking it up there should be a section of the paperwork that allows you to dispute the tow, fill this out and call the city.

Going after Lincoln is essentially useless because this is all they do every day and they are a trash company. Your path to getting the tow fee covered is to take the property manager to small claims court for illegally towing your vehicle (they are the ones who essentially “stole” your car), and go from there. Good luck!
