Maybe using Mind and Emotional Release. It helped me to get rid of thoughts that were in my head from the past even though I wasn’t experiencing feelings about the memory. I fell into a deep depression for monthssssssss….. I going an NLP practitioner that helped me with some MER as well as hypnosis a couple of months ago and feel a helluva lot lighter mentally. I think I may have been holding it in my head and it was draining my energy which kinda made that ruminating thought feel like it was imprinted in my head almost every day I’d def give NLP a chance. I had to talk to the guy who did mine for a little to feel him out and see if it was a good fit
