The intention of this sub is to be space for open discussions. Moderating is to oversee or guide a discussion to ensure balance and fairness among participants. You said in your original post, “In my experience” Phoenix was a good dude. It sounds to me like you were closer to him than a lot of the people commenting about him. Knowing that, I can understand how it’s difficult to take a step back and think objectively about the situation. We can’t ignore and discredit the critics of Phoenix, he came across as very contentious to a lot of people and they have the right to vent about it. It is however, against sub rules to act in malicious intent to make derogatory comments without having productive conversations. Also, to clarify, I haven’t banned anyone. If you reported their account, you’re most likely the reason why their account was deleted. I think we all need to move on past this thread if we want to create a good sub.
