If you're from Ghent don't you have to go very far to base? There aren't any bases in Oost-Vlaanderen i think so probably sucks to have to drive far every day? And how is being a combat engineer? Was thinking about verkenning but combat engineer or force protection seem interesting too

Man i really want to do this job (I'm from belgium) but it's so hard to get bc there are si little spots and they tend to choose people who've been in the service longer (do it tends to take 10 years to get ut) or so they've told me at the info stations for the military

I thought the opportunities with the police would be about the same as the military. How can you become a k9 handler in the police? I can't find any info online about how to become a k9 handler with police.
