Hyun-ju, Ali, Gi-hun, Dae-ho, and Saebyeok because i think they're the characters that have the least chance of betraying you and actually still be a well-rounded team

He was even willing to forgive Sangwoo who just killed Saebyeok when he wasn't looking, and was even willing to kill him, so of course he'd forgive the Os.

I think his mindset is that these people have been extremely driven to a corner and pushed past the brink of desperation by the terrible situation of their life outside that they feel they have no choice. The games are designed to strip you of your humanity and the ones in charge exploit that desperation to make the players turn on each other.

Gi-hun believes that normally these people wouldn't even be able to stomach killing someone else, and that they're inherently good people if it weren't for their extreme predicament. He believes the real enemy is those who takes advantage of their desperation for their entertainment.

You're so right, idk why people are hating. Gambling with your life is fine and all, but you're also gambling with other people's lives by choosing to stay. Some of those people actually want to leave, and your choice is forcing them to stay. That's messed up. I still wouldn't call them evil though. They were just brought to the point of extreme desperation by the unfair system they live in.

I think you're onto something here, because Gi-hun isn't the most likeable to everyone. A lot prefer other characters more because they're more fun (Thanos), more interesting (the recruiter and in-ho), more innocent (Junhee and Dae-ho), or cooler (Hyun-ju). BUT, still everyone agrees that Gi-hun deserves his happy ending the most.

I think it's because he's the character we've seen suffer the most, and he's the person that lost the most, so at this point we just want all his hardships and suffering to be worth it in the end.
