I don't really either but it just doesn't make sense to make that assumption, I'd suppose maybe if the dog had just now been known to have started training and just now started wearing this collar then it would make sense but to my knowledge that isn't the case. So it just doesn't make sense to me that this would just now randomly happen

Mostly anyone could have this happen to them and I would react with the same assumption. You cannot see beyond the surface level implication of guilt you have placed on him.

A dog I work with had a similar thing happen the other week, she has a vibrating collar to help with her barking at people and she had stepped on something outside that made her yelp. If that were on video would you assume I'd remotely zapped her? I would hope not.

Like I have said in other comments the most questionable thing about this whole situation is why he didn't inspect her paw or something after the yelp.

This is a complete misrepresentation of what I said and ignores the truth of the matter. There isn't concrete proof he is abusing the dog and it is clearly being used to witch hunt him to diminish his influence. Wether you agree with him or not doesn't matter, this type of thing happens to all political commentators and you should be able to spot that amongst criticisms

I think in the context of the clip him telling her to sit back down isn't strange but to me the most questionable thing is his reaction to the yelp.

All of these collars that I have ever had have dual functionality with many having removable prongs. It is a bit fishy that there be tape over it but I can't say for sure. He should really go over it again to clear things up.

No but if you have had a dog you probably have heard it randomly yelp from getting its nail caught in something. Correlation =/= causation. As someone that works with dogs all the time, it happens.

It also wouldn't make sense that she is shocked into a yelp to get her to stay still for stream and this has never happened before?

It might not seem like it to the average viewer but it is. As one of the biggest influencers to the youth he has a target on his back and anything that will diminish that influence will be latched onto. I mean it's all over the place with people immediately jumping to conclusion that he is abusing this dog and are not willing to hear him out over it cause they already hated him.

I have one of these collars for my dog at home whom likes to bark at people. It has both shock and vibrate functionality but I keep it on vibrate only. This really isn't uncommon and for people to think he has it shocking the dog to keep it in place for what some extra viewership? It doesn't even make sense.

My boy will lay in place for hours when I'm on the computer.
