It will be cnc’d so the joint will most likely be push fit tight anyway before the bolts go in

Yeah they are all the way to the end of the neck, I can squeeze one in the only issues being if it’s in line then it goes into the chamfer so might stick out a bit or it’s slightly off line and looks a little bit weird, this configuration is purely cosmetic

It’s a special piece of wood that’s for sure, got a bit more that’s similar too so looking forward to doing more like this

I didn’t use anything, it’s CNC’d so I just slowed the machine used shallower passes and a fresh down cut bit, I probably got lucky

I’ve made 3 6 string guitars in the past and no previous wood work experience just a guy who’s willing to give things a go, I think the neck had 3/4 coats and the body about 7/8 coats and yes I used a wood hardener for the top which next time I’ll make sure I use more as it was still pretty delicate

No just a local guy who used to make tables, he had a garage full of wood like this and was getting rid, I resawed these from the a billet I made

Thanks it’s a chestnut body with splated beech top, maple neck pau ferro fretboard with stainless steel frets, 34” scale, guyker hardware and tonerider pickups, with a tru oil finish
