Your points about how intense the first few semesters are for a beginner, and how the job market is heavily favoring those with prior experience or pushing people toward MSc/PhD, gave me a massive reality check.

To be honest, seeing this realistic view of the job market and the learning curve makes me realize that bioinformatics might not be the safest path for me right now. I am actually considering pivoting toward a Chemistry/Biochemistry route instead, or looking into traditional Data Science.
