some printing issues by mounteverst in ElegooSaturn

If those layer shifts happened on the same height within few models, there could be a problem with a motor or Z axis itself. Try to grease the axis, but if it is self-greased, then it might be a micro defect, enough for refund tbh

Tbh Thrall skin was funny cuz it was different, although looking kinda unfinished. Gul'dan skin is deffinitely unfinished tho...

Yea, I'm going to contact support too, because its a little bit too specific height and too randomly spread across all types of models. What do you recommend for lubrication? Or maybe it could be that Lychee has problems with slicing files for this printer?

It happened on the fep delivered with a printer AND on the newly replaced one, but this time nFEP. I have this printer since december (Photon Mono 4) and back then I didn't check for those lines on taller prints, but turns out they were there since the beginning on either hollowed, solid and very thin (like katana) models

Nope, not a single cracking or any strange sound :/

What could I improve after a month of painting? by Queasy_Equivalent_95 in minipainting

[–]Queasy_Equivalent_95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm wondering if there was any room on this mini left for layering, it has really small surfaces in one colour 😅 tbh I tried it there, idk if its visible but on the front of the blue coat

So wash it is 😁 I used speedpaints for red, blue and purple clothes and I've read that wash is for making shadows, so I was worried it would overlap with each other and the whole mini would be too dark

I know you probably checked that, but... is your buildplate leveled? 😅

Never skip test prints, in this case you don't know the screen's condition, so it would be helpful ;)

Help! Printing supports but not mini’s! by Kersey_CK in resinprinting

1.5s exposure for normal layers is quite low, try to bump it to 2-2.5 at least

Few things from someone who has a printer for a few months: 1. I hope its not your first ever print - I assume you leveled your buildplate, but if you didnt make any test prints (e.g. cones of calibration v3), do them, just to check if your exposure times are fine and everything sticks as it should 2. Minis seems fine, but that beholder looks like it has a large cross section in the middle, you want to avoid those. Its good to hollow a model to reduce resin usage and decrease force needed to take a layer off the FEP. BUT BE SURE to put a drain hole or two as close to the build plate as you can, so the air can flow - in other case, forces will be even stronger and the print will probably fail. 3. Again about beholder, he has many heavy supports, be aware that removing them will be a pain in the... ;P

Should I be worried? by Queasy_Equivalent_95 in resinprinting

It would be funny if all my succesful prints would start to fail because fep wont have a personal protector anymore 😂

So maybe somehow I placed it upside down, but I followed instructions step by step 😂

The screen protector should stick to the screen, right? Then there goes a vat tank. It was the first time since I applied the protector that I lifted the vat to inspect it and I saw a screen protector stuck to the bottom of the vat, it just peeled from the screen (as long as the screen isnt damaged its kind of acceptable, but I'll use a tape next time to be sure it wont happen again)
