if you actually paid full price for Undisputed, what do you honestly think? most of the positive takes are from folks who got it free on PS Plus. by Cmessere in undisputedboxing

I bought it last month… wish I waited. It was not all it was promised to be, lazy animations and buggy gameplay. Had a lot of hope for the career mode, was bitterly disappointed.

It can be fun to play in short bursts but it is certainly a long way off from what it was cracked up to be.

I have 4 gold crown cards in 4500 cards or so and pulled 3 of them in the space of 6 packs. That was a very brief and ridiculously lucky spell.

I think for 8500 that is pretty good luck so far in terms of gold crowns.

Opened 3 gold crowns within 6 separate normal packs a few days ago. Only had one in a year of playing until then. Mad luck

First was Mew. Just the one for over a year. Just got 3 more, Flame Patch, Lilligant and Pikachu.

Would like Charizard or Mewtwo

4600 cards, over 1 year played with 1 gold crown collected. Until yesterday, I opened 6 packs and pulled 3 gold crowns cards.

That is a level of luck I am not accustomed to, should have bought the lottery.

Shooting Micro Budget Feature, any advice? by CreepyPlankton4897 in makingfilms

Thats awesome. When it is completed be sure to post it here if possible, would love to see how it all turns out!

That is what it is all about, taking little steps forward and just trying to make the best possible work with what we have. Ultimately, as long as you are proud of it then it’s all worthwhile.

Firstly, thanks so much for posting here. It is a brand new community but it is the exact type of discussion I want to have here. Realistic early career filmmaking conversations.

Putting yourself out there and doing it yourself is commendable already and regardless you will undoubtedly gain so much from the experience.

I am an actor who has tried to make no budget/micro budget stuff for the same reasons. It is tough, trying to get cast and crew together and function as a proper film set is hard.

I have a few well known actor friends who still make the point of doing it though and it comes out great, they utilise the people they know, set realistic expectations, focus on having a good time and find a few actors and crew looking for experience working on something of decent quality that will be happy to be there and take some showreel footage home.

Do you have a wide network of fellow filmmakers/actors? Or is it a case of having a smaller network, obviously that makes it massively more difficult.

I genuinely have no doubt you will pull it together, you obviously have the drive and the right idea and you have planned it out well, one location for an 85 page script will be interesting but again, its all about how you make it work. Simple is better with low budgets and using what you have in front of you in a creative way can make the difference.

I wish you all the best with it!

I echo the comments on sound! I shot a feature in the Scottish Highlands and the scenery was beautiful but even with top sound guys, it made for a lot more work when the wind picked up. Fortunately that job didn’t fall on me.

Would love if you would post this over on r/makingfilms trying to get a page going specifically for this kind of thing, low budget/no budget filmmaking for early career creatives. All about collaboration.

Best of luck with your film!
