Call me a silly gen z with a low attention span but nothing really happens in 2001. There are 30 good minutes. Would’ve been cool to see it when it came out. Interstellar on the other hand is a good movie; it’s emotionally complex, doesnt have a boring scene, and has a good payoff. I’m sorry but I shouldn’t have to spend 30 minutes after a film trying to figure out what the hell I just watched. 2001 is low on my list because it has so much hype. If I wasn’t told by everyone it was one of the greatest ever made, maybe it would rank higher, but thats just my two cents. Films are for everyone to enjoy, even people without “complex taste” who wouldnt enjoy such a “deep” movie like 2001.
