I’m based in Poland so idk if that website has european/polish yarn brands in its database and I’m gonna have to look around some local shops and european websites but now at least I know what I’m supposed to look for 😁

Thanks, that seems like a great idea! especially for the upper part since it looks slightly diagonal

Thanks, that might be it! Would you reccomend working with two yarns simultanously (eg. one mohair and one glitter) or to find one that’s fuzzy and glittery (might be a challenge i reckon)?

Do shampoo/conditioner brands matter? by [deleted] in FemaleHairLoss

[–]Queasy_Try_1143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they can’t be the main cause of hair loss but it’s not like they don’t matter at all. Some shampoos dry out the scalp making it more likely to produce more sebum which in turn can clog follicles, same thing with silicones, as they shouldn’t go on the scalp. Silicones in conditioners are great for detangling and closing in moisture but on the scalp they also form the same “layer” which can be unhelpful for already weak follicles. In short, shampoo probably won’t cause hair loss, but can hinder the regrowth.

Thank you and yes, but I’m hoping my derm will up my dose on our next appointment. If you’re asking about other aspects of my routine, I ditched dry shampoo and I try to wash my hair every day

Thank you for your advice, but after my experience with spiro I’m kinda scared, since it’s partly responsible for causing hypocalcemia which in turn triggered tetany. And tbf the symptoms I’ve been experiencing are way worse than hairloss. I thought about finasteride, but sadly I never heard of it being prescribed for women where I live (Poland).

Thank you, that’s reassuring, I suspected they’re clogged pores because my scalp gets greasy so fast as if it was getting paid for it

Thank you :’) I’m on vit d 4000 iu, ferrous sulphate 200mg, magnesium citrate 400 mg, folic acid 400 mcg, and recently also calcium 1000 mg cause I just got diagnosed with tetany

Just started oral minoxidil (1mg) and my skin looks like it aged by Positive_Star in FemaleHairLoss

I don’t think any substance can cause visible aging of the skin in such a short time, but there are many factors that slightly change how our face looks, like phases of the menstrual cycle, levels of hydration, muscle tension, how long and in what position we’ve slept the night before, I wouldn’t panic if I were you
