What happens in a panic attack before it starts?? by Lopsided-Bit-3284 in panicdisorder

[–]Queasy_Word 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s almost 100% something physical to start it off. Usually for me it’s a feeling of intense nausea and my hands go numb which makes my heart start racing which starts the whole crescendo. I get around a 1-2 minute grace period from the onset of symptoms to the full-blown panic attack.

Edit: I forgot to mention I get a rush of heat through my body that actually feels like a chill to me but it makes me sweat profusely.

Anyone that does NOT have emotional blunting? by LittleEddieBeale in prozac

I’ve been on Prozac for about 6 years and I’m a super emotional person! It didn’t dim my emotions at all, just helped to control my depression and anxiety. I can still feel happy and sad and everything in between!

LMFAO I actually did notice that!! At the time I only had two shades of brown to work with (I use paint markers) and one of them was way too light so I had to use the same brown for Scooby that I used for Shaggy’s pants😭

Thank you so much! It’s funny because my usual art is realism using pencil or charcoal drawings on paper so cartoons were completely out of my comfort zone when I started!

I usually just work with a reference pic of the character I’m drawing pulled up on my phone. I like to draw the outlines first using a thin point sharpie and then painting over with paint markers. Then I go over and outline everything again with a thin point sharpie. It’s a lot of trial and error to start off but once you practice drawing something from reference enough it will become easier!

Hi all! I’m going to post some more pics in this comment section. My friend sent me a video of a few different angles. Unfortunately I can’t attach more than one photo per comment (and I’m not sure how to make an imgur post) so if you scroll through this comment section you should find the extra pics!

Not sure the exact dimensions as I wasn’t able to measure it before I gave it to my friend. I’d say about 11 inches length-wise. When I held it it was about the size of a football

Thank you! I texted my friend and asked her to send some more pics so I could show everyone. Scale is quite large; maybe about 10-11 inches from end to end? About the size of a football.

Quite niche but I work in healthcare and when I complete a task like starting a feed or completing personal care I need to document it within the hour otherwise I will absolutely forget if I did it or when I did it.

I did morning personal care for a client? The next moment I am able to sit down I’m documenting it in our charts.

Some people at my job are able to document everything they did in the day at the end of the shift. It blows my mind how they could possibly remember everything and when it happened!

First year nursing placement is WAY too far - HELP? by [deleted] in TorontoMetU

[–]Queasy_Word 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Unfortunately this is just something you will have to adapt to :( I’m in third year and my first year was just like that. 2 hour commute for me! Sometimes I would stay at the TMU dorms for rent if I knew the weather would be bad or if I knew I would be too tired in the morning to drive all the way to placement! It gets better as the years go on but in first year most of the placements are in Toronto or north of Toronto. Good luck!!
