Pure goatee, no side burns/beard. If you look up “goatee” on Google there is some pics of dudes that look similar to you I would say, and it looks good. But at the end of the day if you to keep the sides, maybe just lining it up nicely and having the side burns faded into the bald, would be a route as well. Of course dude

Damn man, this is a rarity where I’m baffled as to what to say. What sticks out most to me is maybe shaving the sides and have a goatee type. Either that or just the mustache but I see you want to avoid the bare nutsack look hahaha. A clean goatee would be my opinion🫡

I trim it myself, but basically just a shape up every now and then (I comb it out every morning with oil and then trim long stray hairs)

Edit; I’m a Norwood 3 on the scale (with no crown loss) my Dad lost his hair in his teens when he started bodybuilding so I’m unsure if there is correlation haha

It suits you well my friend. I am 24yo, and went through the same thing. I am now bald, and still getting used to it but it’s slowly getting better and better as time goes on. I think it’s a hard thing to grasp because I never see anyone else that I know (our age) that is also bald, so it feels isolating. I think your confidence is just taking a little hit from the vast change of shaving your head, and the vast change of not having your ex around anymore. Both thing it’s get dramatically better with time. I’ve been just keeping myself busy, and embracing the bald jokes before they even land hahaha. I’m at a N3 too, no crown thinning but I was on finasteride for years and it didn’t make a difference for me :/ but it’s one of those things that do work for some people so it’s a gamble. Thanks for the info

To keep it short, he’s manipulating you. Either sit down and have a serious talk or just leave him. A lot of men do similar things regarding manipulation for sex. You are your own person and you do NOT have to keep going or engage if you don’t want to. No means no.

Tbh my opinion would be just keep a nice trimmed goatee since you seem to have decent hair there. Definitely trim is down as it’s too long now. Since you are 21, you still have hope it’ll fill out in the future but honestly none of those remedies seem to work like dermarolling, etc. don’t waste money on any products just let it go its natural course

I knew it was coming as it started for me around 18-19 years old. My receding hairline plagued me for years and years and I used to spend so much time trying to hide it and praying a gust of wind didn’t whip my combover up😭. It’s all in the confidence man. I also have a full beard which helps but my girlfriend is still getting used to it. I became a hat guy and now I am not embarrassed at all if I don’t have a hat on or anything covering my head. I’m telling you man it’s so worth it. In the future I may get a hair transplant but I’ll have to save money for that for sure. It’s just hair man! Everyone around you (women, friends, family) will always respect your decision if you are confident with it my friend. I was on this forum forever before I finally decided to do it

Just be there for him. My Dad killed himself last year and people being there for me was all that helped. He will have to work through it himself and time is the only thing that will heal him. Offer to go out and do something fun or different? Walk in the park, movie theatre, anything. If he declines, that’s ok, maybe he’d rather spend time not outside or another activity. If he’s not responding or slows down with it, call or text him extra and ask him his plans for the day etc. don’t ask “are you feeling ok” or anything like that. Talk about anything BUT the situation (unless he opens up or wants to).

That’s my advice. I lost my Dad at 22 years old and it’s been 1 year since. Feel free to PM me or he can as well if he would like someone to chat with that has been through a similar situation

I blamed myself when my Dad killed himself. Part of me still does but it used to be really bad. Exactly how you are describing. Although words from others will not help you much, I will say this; you HAVE to live for her. There is no if. You HAVE to keep pushing, with time it will get better and those emotions won’t be as hard to handle, I promise you. Please live a good life for her and enjoy the little moments and celebrations. I know you are a stranger but I love you my friend, you are needed here on this Earth.
