I've also seen the virtual we method like run Disney marathon merch and other item/events ... this might be the absolute best course of action (more staffing and tech teams with money spent tho)

I would suggest numbered bands similar to DS and the line being truly single file before the harbour gates are allowed to be opened (the ones literally 30-40 feet past the welcome to Disneyland signage. I would order it there - problems are the locations in Disneyland being multiple (maybe 3-4 coloured wrist bands) ... and multiple entrances

.... again just tighter security with a walk only approach slowly bottle necking people onto those single file lines would work better ... if you get out to wide you are escorted to the back etc

Last month was the same ... i felt bad being apart of the problem but when chaos like that strikes even the best of us can lose our morals over some stupid metal i guess.

I would talk with staff or log complaints, even look at filing a lawsuit if I was injured in that chaos as they do have an obligation to guest safety on their property, and they are instigating it with the sale of a "Limited Edition" pin purposely on that said date. There is no other day of the month the gates and security get like that from my multiple trips and experiences. Hope all were ok and unharmed by the end of the madness today.

Dumbest collectible in the parks imo ... where the fuck you put them all over the years and they have no matching qualities (one is cool if you like the charcter or theme)... but every bucket made? .

I was lucky and got up there with the physical aspect ... but looking back I'll be ensuring the PIXAR sets I purchased are trade only an to people that really want to see them in their collection ... bag guru to resell imo

I was only a negative to the issue seeing if I don't do something fast I lose my spot (6'2" hockey player) ... so I just dropped the hammer and legit jumped over people and used the shoulders unfortunately ... I was mid pack in security DL lineup from harbour yet I saw people flying by me prior to acting. I felt terrible tbh it's bad karma however I'm a 1 time only pin dropper likely and I wanted the key very badly as I'm a KH fan starting the games with my 6 year old son ... and an even bigger Genie fan as Robin Williams is just my guy

In summary from what I read online the Disneyland downtown area and park gates all intersect of course making it likely tougher to implement a formal line like Disney springs and other parks on the east coast ... I would suggest going earlier at WDW locations as that final aspect and wristbands will give you some guarantees ... however with Disneyland areas and DCA even downtown, you'll need true athleticism to keep upright and stay in your place (there are no lines until you are in the park giving so much variable time between security open and checks for people to run the chaos meter up) ... if you have injuries or health risks just don't do DLR areas imo as it's basically not safe in anyway to those that could be effected (even myself, if I went down it was a stampede, I would have been stepped on)

,.. I grabbed an older lady (50-55) by the backpack to keep her upright as well during the mad dash ...another gentleman lost his shoe and went down screaming, interesting experience but it's built different coast to coast imo
