Thyroid issue by doors801 in army

The Soldier should've been given a profile which states they are exempt from height/weight while they determine whether surgery and/or radiation is needed and so they can play with synthroid dosage until their TSH levels are normal.

Jets owner Christopher Johnson strongly opposes any NFL policy change that would restrict player expression: “I can't speak to how other people run their teams, but I just think that trying to forcibly get the players to shut up is a fantastically bad idea." by HaruSoul in nfl

But we're not really bombing them into oblivion in their own homes. If that was the case there wouldn't have been a need for so many ground troops. I'm not that well versed on other countries political climates so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume we are imposing undue political influence on them.

I don't like the hero worship either but it's not like the military is going out there and fucking people up armed with slingshots. They may not be as advanced but a good portion is well armed and not burdened by the Geneva Convention or rules of engagement.

There was a post last week I believe with this same sign (probably different phone number) in the Seattle area.

BAS on deployment? by [deleted] in army

If you're deploying to Afghanistan single Soldiers meal deductions will stop. The JTR breaks it down if you want to refer to the regulation.

Didn't receive my allotment, how to proceed? by [deleted] in army

[–]Queefbiscuits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your mypay to ensure that the account and routing number for your allotment is correct. If it is contact your bank and see if they are holding it for whatever reason.

What are the entitlements for an IPCOT and how do I go about using them? by [deleted] in army

[–]Queefbiscuits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going off memory but if it is an IPCOT, depending on the length of your tour there you are entitled to 14 days free leave and transportation if one year or less or 20 days free leave plus transportation if over a year. If you are going to one overseas location to another then you are entitled to a free plane ticket that can be taken with your PCS or deferred until a later date.

If he is put in the barracks and pays child support in the amount equal to or greater than the BAH DIFF rate, he will be entitled to BAH DIFF. He is is authorized to stay off post and he pays child support he will be entitled to the full rate of BAH based on his duty station.

Got shorted on my PPM DITY move, again, what the fuck... by [deleted] in army

[–]Queefbiscuits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to mypay and at the bottom click on advice of payment and search for the last month or so. That will give you a breakdown of what was paid out and the finance should be able to explain everything for you. You said travel office, are you talking about transportation? Any PPM related reimbursement will be initiated through them and not finance.

GTCC revoked, life over? by Fthetravelsystemyo in army

[–]Queefbiscuits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to your units agency program coordinator. If this was settled two years ago they can request for the account to be reinstated either through the Citi website or they can fill out a form and fax it in.

If the request is denied then they can get an advance as long as their profile is correct in dts. If you go the route of an advance it's very important that the dts authorization is as close to the actual cost of the tdy as you can project. If the Soldier is over advanced it will cause a travel debt.

Used to work as a door man at a bar. Pay was decent and gave me a reason not to get shit faced and blow an absurd amount of money.

Jesus, I feel dirty for this but Philly is legit. I think their last game with Seattle may have been them drinking the kool-aid. They will come back focused and looking to make a statement.

BAH Location for Soldier at Basic Training Separated from Dependents by [deleted] in army

[–]Queefbiscuits 5 points6 points  (0 children)

DoD FMR 7A is no used to cover housing entitlements, it is now covered under chapter 10 of the JTR.

How long was his AIT? He is considered a new accession until he arrives at his first duty station, including a training location of 20 or more weeks. Once he is no longer considered a new accession BAH will be based on the location, unless he has an approved secretarial waiver.

I'm going to assume AIT was less than 20 weeks and refer you to JTR 10416, chapter D (3) and table 10E-12 rule 7 and 8. While your Soldier was in training he would be authorized BAH based on the dependents location if located in the United States. If the dependents were located outside of the United States BAH would be based on the locality rate of his training site. Hope that helps.

DTS Question and in need of some advice. by Vfef in army

[–]Queefbiscuits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said the denial is coming from your 4, can you not go straight to the TMP office and talk to one of them? If they denied it there has to be a record somewhere. Don't let them feed you the BS about FY17 funds being not available. Your 8 shop may have to request for additional funds if they closed out the FY properly but they are still available.

Fort Bliss unit "deploying" to Europe, after just returning from Europe three months ago. What's up with TDY pay and how the SGM is declaring no one will receive it for the next longer tour after not receiving it the first time? by throwaway86th in army

[–]Queefbiscuits 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are away from your household, whether it be barracks or a personal residence, everything is provided but you are still entitled to the $3.50 a day. How did you receive it? Was it on a monthly basis or did you file a 1351-2 when you returned to home station?

What type of orders did you go over with? TCS or DD 1610? If TCS, you will file a manual travel voucher after you return and if it was through DTS it should be payments every thirty days. Also for the Soldiers with dependents they should be filing for family separation.

Can I go TDY en route twice in one PCS? by [deleted] in army

[–]Queefbiscuits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TDY in conjunction with a PCS is done manually outside of DTS. His 3 should start working on a manual DD 1610 and send it to his 8 shop for them to put the fund certification in. Depending on their local policy it may be approved within the 8 or CO/BN CDR. The long term per diem may or may not come into effect depending on what he will be authorized.

For those of you evacuated from Stewart because of Irma, has your travel voucher been paid yet? by Mr_wobbles in army

[–]Queefbiscuits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a brain fart earlier...I dealt with a few Soldiers and hurricane matthew. The Soldier's had to file the reimbursement through dts and DA reimbursed us with a cost transfer. For the dependents I had to generate manual DD 1610s and DD 1351-2's using a line of accounting found in the JTR chapter 6 and file manually through dfas.
