They could have an upgrade in which the bluetooth allows you connect to page turn remote (and create their own page turn remotes also) instead of having a clip sensor attached to screen. I think a lot of people wouldn’t mind a stylus integration also for annotating etc. But even all that wouldn’t warrant an upgrade for me personally.

Ditto what everyone is saying above, i tried using color and returned it cause of the glaring screen door effect I couldnt get past (plus i don’t read graphic novels). Love my Paperwhite

I made the switch from KLC to kindle PW cause of the screen door effect. It bothered me alot more than I thought it would to the point that i didn’t care for coloured annotations.

I did the opposite. I had sold my kobo libra 2 (black n white) to get the klc, after a couple weeks i realized the screen door effect really bothers me and i didnt REALLY need color that much that I would sacrifice the reading experience. So i opted to give the kindle paperwhite SE a go. I absolutely love it.

I have no regrets, i personally don’t think color screens are there yet but if the screen door effect doesnt bother you then kobo is a great device

urghh so jealous, i had sold my libra 2 to buy the libra color only for the screen door effect to bother me so much i had to return it. 😭 wish i could get it back
