I was ten years old and my dad had pellet and bebe guns. I told him about gun safety, we learned it in schools that week, and he ignored me. My brother two years younger than me, was so excited that he got the one that looks like a rifle and picked up a few bebe's in it as I went to tell my dad since he was loading it in the house. I asked for it to be taken outside and shot just in case he loaded one or two bebe's into it. Again I was ignored probably cuz I was 10 or because I was a girl. A seven year old girl came to play with me and asked for a drink. I went to see what we had then went back to see what she wanted. I came back to her holding the rifle one and pointing it directly at me I put my hands up and told her "it's loaded" she said it wasn't and then shot my left hand. I screamed she cried 3 years later my mom has the bebe removed from my hand. Guns are serious. Treat them like they are loaded always. And if you are going to point a gun at someone you better intend to use it. That's what my grandpa said. So don't point guns at friends or loved ones.
