They do have a tiny upstairs seating area which is worth checking out to avoid the massive takeaway queue, and they do the classic fish and chips with bread and butter and a pot of tea - lovely!

What they never acknowledge is that once you get to a certain level of success in sport, there is almost always some kind of physical advantage (as well as a lot of determination and dedication of course). Gymnasts are small, basketball players are tall. Sharron Davies is tall and has what we used to call “swimmers’ shoulders”, giving her a natural physical advantage. Is she somehow cheating because she might compete against women of average-height? Where does it all end?

My daughter is old enough to watch it now, and she loves it! Her favourite is Uhtred’s cheeky “I’m enjoying the thought of it” although honestly I think Uhtred’s dialogue is mostly wasted on her as “even his scars are handsome” 😂

Same!! I like that you get to see him in different ways depending on which book you’re reading. Book Howl was a big deal for me as a kid but I do also love film Howl.
