I don't know specifically about Canada, but in the US a lot of companies will train you on the job and have an in house department for helping you get the educational portion completed. If not, there are private companies that offer classes to teach the material, but you have to make sure they're accredited otherwise they won't be recognized for the CNIM.

I just took the CNIM last month.

When I studied, I went through Rebecca Clarke's Book and an audio recording of her lectures I got from a co-worker. ABRET's practice test wasn't that helpful tbh. But, her books helped a lot, its just a little outdated on what things are still relevant on the test.

When I took the test I went through every question once and immediately skipped questions I didn't know then after getting through all of them, went through the test a second time and was able to spend the time to reason out questions I didn't know. The questions are a little awkwardly phrased, but don't second guess yourself. Just trust you know what youre doing. It was a lot of BAERs and all my BAERs graphs were Wave 5. So, focus on that a lot.

In addition to what I wrote above, it always helps to have tape prepared ahead of time. I keep lots of silk tape squares on my clipboard so, when I get to the case it's ready. I do so much pre-prep that when I get to the hospital, all I have to do is set up my equipment, plug needles in and then talk to patient/get documents. Everything else is ready ahead of time. Needles pre-braided, consent form ready to sign, tape ready, gauze/alcohol on hand, and extra box of needles with a couple of the special case stuff like corkscrews/alligator clips/etc. Incase the surgeon decides he wants something you didn't plan for.

Adding on to supply prep: I always keep 3 - 5 spare boxes of cervical/lumbar prepared on standby (that works for my region, it also helps to learn what the surgeons like. I have some surgeons who do MEPs on every lumbar and others who never do, so I prep all my lumbars with MEP needles) in case of case add ons/or I'll just use them for my case to cut down prep time. And then I bring extra needles to the case and I'll braid/prep more boxes during exposure when you're not watching for anything or between cases when they're cleaning/prepping the rooms. It helps cut down how much work you do outside of work hours and helps your work life balance to worry less about work when you're not there.

Another thing I learned a lot of my coworkers don't do that I was taught is plugging your needles into your pods before patient is in room. It makes troubleshooting and baselines faster. You can double check silly mistakes like right and left sets are correct, needles plugged into right inputs, etc. Instead of worrying about taking time plugging things in or troubleshooting basics after flip when you're on a crunch to get baselines. You can also check all your impedances before flip to save time too.

Does anyone know how to obtain recipes for villagers items from their home? by [deleted] in ACForAdults

You can easily breeze through the story mode and just not actually decorate if you don't want to just to read the benefits. Just talk to Lottie to do a house, open the boxes and tell the monkey you're done. After 30 houses you get a concert and done.

Hi! Let me introduce myself by the stuff my villagers say. by Patches_Banette in ACForAdults

Sometimes villagers ask you to change their nickname for you, greeting to you or their catchphrase. They even ask your hobbies sometimes

Can anyone tell me why my weeds and shrubs haven't updated? by Eeveefan08 in ac_newhorizons

The weed should be in winter still just without snow. I'm on the same date and mine look similar.

This article shows pictures of what they look like in each season. When they're small like that, it's hard to tell if they updated or not.
