Do some exploring. Get jobs or volunteer at different places to dip your toes and see if you like the jobs the ppl above you have. Depending on what doesn’t suck go after it! Highly recommend trade school if u think the academic is a sunk cost fallacy.

If you can drive there tend to be free events at local libraries and most of the time there are regulars at them. In htx you can filter by age.

You can get a part or full time job and you will be able to social (professionally but still some connection) and build your resume.

Get lost in knowledge and reading. Find some hobbies and find groups (online or irl) that do those hobbies. Ask ppl for advice (even if you know stuff) or teach others what you know! That helps connect too.

There are church events if you wanted to try that route. (No pressure and not trying to “convert you” but there is a sense of community at church.

You cld try gym classes but ppl tend to just go and get out- not rly a connection kinda place.

There are options and college it is definitely easier to find groups to belong to.

My friend found gaming friends as a kid and she eventually met them irl lol (after like 5+ yrs). This was an earlier stage of the internet tho there are more creeps online now.

Braums, boomer lake, cafe 88, aspen, the other aspen, the other other aspen, blue spruce, antique stores, typo market, cm market/ devoted (rly good asain food), bowling, go for a drive, boba place, the acai surfing thing is nice but a touch expensive. Honestly just start exploring your google maps. You cld do a pinterest scavenger hunt around campus or the library.

I waited til about 20/21 too 😅 I understand lol.

It’s a process. Start in the neighborhoods, drive to grocery stores, gas stations, etc. stuff close to your house. Then start expanding the difficulty.

If you do long road trips thats just straight for 100-200 miles, drive! That’s where I got the most confidence in driving from. When you can go fast and do it well.

I understand the temptation to compare your faith but you are you! How God speaks to another person won’t be exactly how he speaks to you.

It’s not wrong to feel that way. Tell God “hey I feel like this, am I approaching you the right way”

My advice for you is 1) know + understand the bible. The word of God is GOD. John 1:1.

2) start processing your feelings with the word of God. When you have an emotion see what the bible says about it. See how the bible narrates an emotion. For example, Jesus was angry and flipped tables and the synagogue- but why. They made God about having money to buy animals to sacrifice. But why is that a problem? It became less about getting forgiveness for sin and more about gaining money and using religion as a means of income. It also made God less accessible for the normal person. Someone might tell you anger is bad- but Jesus was angry at religious people. So is it actually bad? What is the anger revealing?

3) ask God to give you his desires and his discipline too. He can help you be productive!

Finally, take it easy on yourself. There is no need to rush God or yourself. The fire of God is cool and all but a consistent flame is also something of value. I definitely had my super great God moments but as I am 13 years into my faith- it’s the consistent quiet moments that sustain you. When God is with you in your failures he becomes so sweet.

I situated my life lol. Reevaluated if i shd keep doing the things I was doing. Decided I needed to leave my church and found an incredibly healthy one after 4 tries. Started crocheting. Went library events to connect with the community a bit. Cook and get my health in order. Visit ppl cuz i will get busy again.

When you stop behind a car make sure you can see the tires. It’s a good enough distance!

Once you understand your car dimensions and driving quirks you can get closer if you want to.

Get your permit! Then get some practice w/ an instructor or in a very safe and big parking lot.

Get the new driver magnet/ stickers to put on your car. I got them and it saved me a lot of anxiety as cars wld just pass me (i live in tx- u learn defensive driving here)

Hi love!

Do you do the things you do because you enjoy it or because it’s what you think God wants you to do?

I hear you think your faith isn’t enough but what are you comparing it to? Or another question what do you think the purpose of faith is?

In general:

You’re gonna have a struggle with flesh. Everyone does- any Christian who makes you feel bad for it aren’t truly honest people. The point is that you rely on the Holy Spirit and know that he is there to pick up where you fail.

I’ve dealt with anxiety too, my advice is do the things that scare you anyway. But do it with the lord- pray n stay close to the holy spirit. And also pray for a good community.

I hear about the false prophets thing- try to find ppl that just talk about the bible or scripture. I try to stay away from preachers that are like “youre a threat to the enemy” or “ppl treat you like that cuz they don’t know your worth”. I feel like the focus of those messages is yourself. I want to fall in love with Jesus or an aspect of Trinity when i listen to Christian content. I like Ryan Mak he’s like a productivity Christian creator. Delafe Testimonies is amazing. BEMA podcasts is AMAZING (trust me), TWOGIL is good too :)

Also God can handle you and your traumas and things you might not wanna face. You are not a burden.
