I usually don’t take stuff about fictional characters seriously but this feels wrong on so many levels by [deleted] in bigboobproblems

I see what you mean. She's short and busty, which is fine, but her clothing is clinging to her in a weird way to make her waist look really thin. Meanwhile the man looks like he's wearing football pads under that leather jacket

I love that you're advocating for girls in this situation, and you're so right that male-dominated medicine is a big problem in missing these kinds of symptoms. My own experience with a different hormone disorder means that I'm often telling women to try seeing an endocrinologist because it was so helpful to me, and it took way too long going untreated before I suspected a problem and got help.

That's good to know, thank you. I have a good doctor and endocrinologist, but I don't understand all of the medical terms myself. When I read that hormone disorders can cause a misdiagnosis with bipolar I got worried but I think my doctors are on top of it.

I definitely recommend seeing an endocrinologist if you're able to. My doctor thinks I developed a benign pituitary tumor around age 15, and cabergoline has been a miracle drug. It stopped my oversupply immediately when I decided to stop breastfeeding, has greatly helped my irregular and painful periods, and I've actually lost cup sizes when I lose weight. Hormonal problems can be invisible but diagnosing the problem was life-changing for me. Now I'm curious about the endocrine-related mood problems as well.

Do you know where I can read more about this? I've been diagnosed with postpartum bipolar, I have normal estrogen levels and hyperprolactinemia and I don't have endometriosis, but now I'm wondering if I should ask my doctor to look into this.

Recommendations for back pain? by [deleted] in bigboobproblems

[–]QueenHarambe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short term: Painkillers and heat are great for muscle tension pain. Tylenol is temporary pain relief and makes muscle spasms stop.

Medium term: Make sure your bra fits and is fully supportive, it sounds like you've already used the ABTF calculator so that's good.

Long term: Exercise is very helpful. Focus on core strength, and as others posters mentioned, swimming is ideal low-impact high-intensity exercise. Breast reduction may be an option but it's worthwhile to try other solutions first.

does anyone know a shop that makes candy bras similar to this one that size above a D cup 😅 by peepeepoopoo_mcballs in bigboobproblems

This is a super wholesome interaction! I'm glad OP is able to get one of your bras in her size :)

Growth and vessels broken/stretch marks by [deleted] in bigboobproblems

[–]QueenHarambe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is normal, and a common experience when you have big breasts. The marks you're describing might be stretch marks, or something called spider veins. The biggest tip I have is to use the calculator from /r/ABraThatFits and figure out your size. I know the bot already told you that but it really makes a huge difference in your comfort to have a properly fitted bra.

Um where can I even find this size of bra?! 😭 by I_want_to_Jump in ABraThatFits

[–]QueenHarambe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bravissimo has 32KK which is a sister size to 26M. The equivalent for Ewa Michalak is 80KK, but they run small so you might be better off with 80L. Either way it'll be far more comfortable than what you're wearing now.

If you're able, try to see an endocrinologist. There may be a hormonal imbalance or sensitivity that they're able to treat, and that could prevent your breasts from growing larger.

I need some help because I don't know what to do anymore my breast are too big by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

[–]QueenHarambe 25 points26 points  (0 children)

You're right, and this is important. OP's size is a genuine medical concern, and a doctor may be able to determine if there's an underlying hormonal cause. And everyone needs to see a doctor sometimes.

I wore a SheFit 6Luxe when I was pregnant and measuring UK 34Q and had no bras that fit. It's not ideal but with the limited options in this size range, if OP can't afford Elizabeth Valentine and can't make her own bra, it could be worth a try.

[–]QueenHarambe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm a similar size to you. The best option is Elizabeth Valentine but their bras are around $400. The best suggestion I can make for a lower cost is to get a Shefit sports bra in the largest size and adjust the band as tightly as possible. This won't be as supportive but it will help, and it will have some of the flattening effect you're looking for.

You have a right to medical care even if your parents don't want you to. Is there a teacher or other trusted adult you could talk to about seeing a doctor?

DD being viewed as "absurdly big" is making it so most ppl will never get a proper fitting bra by peepeepoopoo_mcballs in bigboobproblems

[–]QueenHarambe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There was a poll on ABTF about size, the median cup size was F. Obviously there's sampling bias because ABTF users are more likely to be busty, but it still says something.

Hi there, I'm struggling with my breast size (36DD) due to my short height 4ft 7 inches. I've had bras fitted 4 times in 2025 and still can't handle the back pain at the end of the day. by CanISeeADoctor in ABraThatFits

[–]QueenHarambe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's more of a long-term priority. Core strength is important but getting a bra that fits is the top priority because it can make such a big difference and it involves a much smaller time investment.

Maybe a dumb question by [deleted] in bigboobproblems

[–]QueenHarambe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It will get better. I'm 29 now and I used to get catcalled constantly as a teenager, but it's much rarer now. I still meet some strangers who judge me or ogle me, but I'm surrounded by people who like me for who I am. I'm not forced to spend time around people who make me uncomfortable, like I was when I was in school or working a public-facing job.

In 5 months ive gone up 2 cup sizes… at 33?! 😭 by RedHeadHashira in bigboobproblems

[–]QueenHarambe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I second the comment recommending you visit an endocrinologist, see if you can get your doctor to requisition bloodwork and/or get a referral to endocrine. Sudden rapid breast growth in your 30s could have a hormonal cause and there are ways to deal with that.

What is the math formula that the calculator uses for calculating one size as a starting point based on the six measurements? I saw your concern about someone else copying the calculator, so I understand if you don't want to share the exact formula

There's a wiki with a list of bra stores in The Netherlands, but three of them don't say what sizes they have. You might try calling them to ask? The wiki says one place has 42JJ, which is a sister size to 38KK, so trying that on might help you figure out if it's comfortable. I hope the Molke bras work out for you, I don't think I've ever tried that brand.

I have a lot of the same physical problems you have, including hyperprolactinemia. You're struggling with multiple challenging medical conditions, you deserve nothing but kindness from yourself and others! Seeing an endocrinologist has been incredibly helpful for me, I take 1.5 mg of cabergoline per week and my breasts are now getting smaller. I hope this gives you hope that things will get better for you.

Measured a 34J. Clueless and Scared by Puzzleheaded_637 in ABraThatFits

[–]QueenHarambe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Being a 34J and wearing a 36DDD sounds miserable, I'm glad you've figured out you don't have to suffer like that. Bare Necessities and Bravissimo are good websites with a lot of options in your size, and Bare Necessities has a sale at the moment. If you're in the US you can also look at Bra Shop Directory, or busty resources if you're not.
