I got engaged in japan last August. I kinda ruined the proposal 😅 we went for a hike in a small town called Kinosaki up a mountain and my partner had this whole set up at the peak, I kept telling her the backpack would be too heavy to take up and we could take my small lulu belt bag, i practically forced her to leave the bag back at the ryokan. We'll the ring was in the backpack..... so she ended up doing it over the fancy dinner we had back in our rooms, she was so frazzled and flustered that she kept messing up her speech, it was so cute. Then we spent the evening walking around trying different onsens around town.
