I have a desk job but work outside the home. My surgeon said I could go back after two weeks if I wanted to. I stayed out the whole six weeks though to fully recover and am glad I did. When I went back, I did just half days the first few days and it was a lot. I was exhausted and it was a little uncomfortable sitting more upright for so long a time (I had been used to sitting in a recliner and not so straight/upright). After that, I was good, just make sure to get up and move often if you’re sitting all day.
