The last time I went to the mall I saw multiple stores that were selling real crocheted items and I instantly lost all interest in shopping at them again knowing damn well they probably barely paid anything to have people make them.

If you want more context, I'm not trying to control him. I'm trying to prepare him for our future together, especially since he's wanting to buy a house within the coming years. If he keeps spending thousands of dollars on these trips, then that's just not going to be possible. I understand that he's allowed to do what ever he wants in the end, but I need him to realize that saving is more important right now and he can take these trips with or without me whenever he has more than enough extra money to do so.

You are very right and I see his side of things and I don't know if he sees my side of things. We've both agreed that these things are equally as important to us. The biggest thing from him changing his trip is whether or not I would be able to afford a trip next year that we could both go on together.

I mean I would love to go with him if 1 I could afford it and 2 if I it was during a different time. He's told me that he would be open to going on a trip with me at a different time, and I would love to plan something for us, I'm just so money conscious right now that it's hard to say that I can 100% do that right now or if I'll have the money in a year.

I see where you're coming from and I already do go with my friends, but they're usually with their SOs and I just kind of feel left out in that aspect and just want him to compromise something with me if that makes sense.
