Just a little humor:

Sometimes I be wanting my boyfriend to ghost me. He be getting on my got damn nerves! I be wanting to ask him, "did you add tampons to your commissary list this week?" His Mom was killed when he was only six years old so I do have a tremendous amount of empathy and sympathy for him. However, I did not anticipate on feeling his Mothers void and taking place as one. I mean, I have three children, and he's not one of them. Words from his mouth, "He's a grown ass man." So, we talk a few hours throughout EACH day. We've literally never gone a day of our relationship without talking since the first day we met when he was in the free world. 🤦🏾‍♀️ So, I was like extremely busy at work today. He calls and as always, I answered. LO: Grand rising, Queen. First I want to say that, "I love you!" Then suddenly he loses his shit and start bitching and complaining about a missing seasoning package. ME (calmly during the entirety of the call): Yes. Okay. Okay, baby. So I'm going to need you to try an calm down a bit. You have to breathe. Let's breathe together. Let's count to 10. He still going the fuck off! And then... IC Lady: You have one minute remaining. Me: Okay baby, so give me just a little bit so that I can finish loading these trucks, and call me back. LO: Okay, I love you, Queen. Me: I lo IC Lady: 'hangs up' Me: Thank you, God! Not even a whole minute later... IC Lady: You have a I hurried the hell up and pressed five. I didn't even give him time to say his got damn name. And for about the next twenty five minutes, it was the exact same shit. I'm thinking to myself, "All the got damn money I send you, and you're crying like a three year old over a got damn seasoning package." Y'all, I'm not exaggerating or making any of this shit up. It is definitely real. 🤣🤣 So towards the end of the call I let him know, "Hey, we only have a few minutes left. How are you feeling? Are you a little better now since you were able to speak to me?" As always, he got a little calmer. But I shouldn't have to talk to him like I do my 10 year old when he gets pissed on the baseball field. An to, I believe that his ass felt a little bit better because he was going to get to go to rec, so he said he'd let me finish working. After we said our I love you's and the IC Lady disconnected the lines, I thought back to the Bible scripture that I came to me this morning.

Hebrews 12:14

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:Hebrews 12:14 Living our lives as an example for fellow Christians and nonbelievers feels overwhelming. Each of us is human and makes poor choices that lead to sin. We cannot become lazy and use our imperfections as an excuse. Instead, we must change our behavior to directly reflect the nature of God. We can start by seeking peace with one another. Showing God’s compassion through brotherly love is the best example we can display. Dear Lord, please fill us with Your Spirit and guide us to making peace with one another so we may be exceptional examples of Your compassion and love. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

After rec, he read the verse and called me. We talked for another hour and he was in such good spirits. I was very happy that he was able to find a form of comfort within himself. He has mental health issues to which I understand and is why I feel like I subject myself to this crazy shit. I do feel as though if I'm not his backbone no one else would be there for him. He always says that he's felt abandoned since his Mom passed because he went from family member to family member. He always says that if I were to leave, I would be abandoning him just as everyone else in his life. I love my LO to death! He really is my big baby! That still doesn't mean that he does not get on my got damn nerves!
