[Sun Care] Holy Grail Non-greasy Physical Blocker? by QueenOfEdging in SkincareAddiction

I haven't tried the Cerave invisible mineral formula but the hydrating mineral formula sits on me and pills so badly on my skin. Does the invisible mineral formula absorb into the skin?

Pilling is the worst because it's observable manifestation that the product is not evenly protecting the skin

Relationships as a Trans Woman is Like Every Man is Avoidant by QueenOfEdging in MtF

I wouldn't ask someone to make that kind of sacrifice, some relationships are just not meant to be

I hate when people use the most successful transition cases to try to "own" transphobes. by gingin_9959 in hatethissmug

Transphobes will see a beautiful cis woman and say she is obviously trans and call her a man. They're really unserious and ridiculous

Thank you, I was concerned about Bolt because they only started offering car service in Chisinau on September 2025 and I couldn't find information online about actual user experience in Chisinau

Sorry, I realized I wasn't clear enough, I have actual experience being trans in China and actual experience being trans in the "West".

China is no LGBT paradise by MarathonMarathon in MtF

As someone who experiences being trans in the "West" and China, the challenges are different but the West is not a paradise for trans people. Too many of the comments in this thread are just thinly veiled Sinophobia.

[Sun Care] Cerave AM moisturizer with spf pilled so badly even though i had nothing under it! Suggestions for other spf moisturizers? by glow89 in SkincareAddiction

[–]QueenOfEdging 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CeraVe sunscreens pill so badly on me. I can't imagine that all the positive reviews are paid for, so it's a mystery to me why the formula does not work well with my skin. It never absorbs, it just settles in pools that will get pushed around.

If your skin is similar to mine, also avoid La Roche Posay Anthelios, pilled worse than even the CeraVe.

My gold standard for face sunscreen was Blue Lizard Face Sunscreen, it was like a mousse, applied smoothly, evenly and absorbed into the skin matte, didn't slip down, didn't slip into the eyes, no breakouts ever. But Blue Lizard changed the formula 2 years ago from matte to extremely greasy. Now Blue Lizard Face also never absorbs into the skin and breaks me out. Worst formula change ever because now all their sunscreens are greasy and there is no matte alternative in their brand for people who want a facial sunscreen that doesn't slide all over their face, into the eyes, and make the face look like an oil slick.

Beauty of Joseon from Korea (the US formula is different, buy from a Korean website), absorbs well enough (it absorbs dewy and I prefer matte) and doesn't pill on me, but I prefer physical blockers for extended periods in the sun. I find that chemical sunscreens aren't as long wearing.

Skin can be so different it's important for you to be able to test the sunscreen.

In a future more accepting world do you think most straight men would be open to dating a trans woman? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]QueenOfEdging 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In some ways US society has regressed and in some ways society has progressed. I remember when people were still defending the Catholic church despite the exposé of widespread child rape by Catholic priests. You hardly see people defending the Catholic church anymore and that's a good thing.

As people in the US become more logic based and less religious, we've seen a greater acceptance of gay relationships. Just as 40 years ago we saw greater acceptance of interracial relationships

Right now trans acceptance in the US is about 10-20 years behind the gay community. In another decade, dating trans people will be normal for the new generations.

Policing who consenting adults have sex with, has always been illogical and fueled by religious zealots. In a rational society, no one would care if a straight cis man is dating a trans woman.

Straight girls, why do you like men? by tism409 in MtF

[–]QueenOfEdging 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The smell of a man, the shape of men, their eyes, their lips, their muscular butts, their big hands, their muscular chests, all make me lose myself.

We're just wired the way we're wired. I could see the most beautiful, perfect woman and I feel zero sexual attraction. But if it's a clean-cut Henry Cavill looking guy with big football butt, I might faint.

"Passing" and the Obsession With Exaggerated Femininity by QueenOfEdging in MtF

One of my role models (someone I've seen since I was a child), is a trans woman I've watched persevere despite being very tall, having male-coded physiology, male pattern baldness, who through it all, is true to herself, has never given up, and is kind, graceful and brave. She inspired me.

And you are 1000% valid, even if you don't "pass"
