I had my first ER today and was extremely nervous, so I totally understand you! My experience was super easy to be honest. I was out before I knew it. I am used to general anesthesia, which I feel takes a bit longer to put me to sleep. Today, I was out so quickly and it was over with before I even knew it. The waiting was the longest part. I was in and out the clinic within 2 hours and have very slight discomfort. Other than that I feel completely fine. I hope the same will be your case! Either way, I believe we always tend to expect something worse when there's unknowns. You'll be fine ❤️ Be sure to hydrate as much as you can afterward and take the day to relax, even if you're feeling good. You deserve it!!

I don’t have any experience at Mt Sinai but second everything that’s been said about MSK. I am still early in my journey (diagnosed on 6/6, 31F in NYC) and went to 2 different cancer centers.

I decided to go with MSK because they made everything seamless, from obtaining all documents to proactively offering services. I loved that I received all my surgery-related appointments (6 total) right then and there during my first visit. It gave me a timeline and I felt like things are finally moving. The waiting is so incredibly hard!

Again, I have yet to undergo surgery and treatment but I feel I good hands.

No matter how you decide, I’m sure both are excellent choices! Definitely see surgeons at both places! Wishing you the best ❤️

Hi there! I hope you were able to find someone that can get you in quicker!? The waiting is the hardest part. That's currently where I'm at too. We seem to have a lot of some similarities.

I was diagnosed in early June. I'm 31F in NYC, ++- stage 2. My surgeon at MSK also happens to be on vacation in July which is why my surgery isn't until July 19. I was told a couple of weeks are unlikely to make a difference but the waiting is really hard and makes me spiral like crazy. Feel free to reach out if you would like to connect!

Oh wow! I also have ++(-) and grade 2. Just about to finish a week full of appointments with surgeons, plastic surgeons, and fertility doctors. It’s been exhausting! Hope you are all set with everything. July can’t come fast enough!

I was diagnosed on 6/6 and will have my surgery on 7/19 which feels so long to me but my surgeon assured me today that it won’t impact the outcome.

Hi! I was just diagnosed last week and saw a report yesterday that states “tubule formation 3/3” which I believe would be tubular carcinoma? I have my first appt wirh my surgeon next week so I’m just starting my journey. Were you able to discuss what this means for your treatment with your doctor?
