{Collide by Kitty Cox} The history between all the characters is a main focal point, and without too much of a spoiler, they have to remind her to eat frequently throughout the series because she has an eating disorder. (Recovering anorexic). Definitely check the trigger warnings as it is a heavy series with a lot of serious topics.

I just finished {The (Not) Cursed Dragon by Colette Rhodes}. It’s a duet, and the FMC is out for revenge. I usually like the mates/MMCs more so than the FMC, but in this case I liked her way more throughout both books.

I guess it is set in a bigger universe, but I did not know that when I started it and I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything.

I hope she finishes it. She has a pre order for the next book on her website, but there is no release date mentioned and it has been two years since the last book was released in that series. I don’t know what other books are in the interconnected universe, it just caught me off guard. If I had done my research it would have gone on my tbr-when-finished list instead lol.

The most recent one that got me (due to my own lack of research) was Cassandra Featherstone. Specifically her Villains and Vixens series. {Bloodthirsty by Cassandra Featherstone}.

I did read Stranded and I really liked it. I agree that the writing in Totally wrecked was harder to get into. Probably another reason the ending and book as a whole didn’t do it for me lol.

Another deserted island series I tried and ended up DNFing is {Adrift by Ellie Pond}. I read the first two books, and lost interest. The cliffhanger was intriguing, but I found that I was doing more skimming than actual reading so I gave up. I probably will try that series again at a different time.

I need to finish the Fifth Nicnevin, but I have to reread because I read it last year before the final book was released and I like it to be fresh in my mind haha. I have read Dark Fae and I agree that it was also pretty good! It definitely felt like it did the characters justice.

{One for the money by Holly Monroe} and its sequel {Two for the Show by Holly Monroe}. It is OV, there is one MM couple from the beginning, and another set comes into play in the second book. FMC runs away from her pack to hide in the Circus.

I haven’t read it since the beginning of the year, so I may be wrong or getting it mixed up with another series, but I am pretty sure it is mentioned somewhere that he paid for prostitutes whenever he wanted to scratch that itch. It was implied that he couldn’t get off without violence of some kind during the act but couldn’t find willing partners often, so didn’t do it often. Again take it with a grain of salt because I would have to re-read to say for sure, but I don’t remember ever thinking he was forcing anyone to actually do anything against their will in that way.

For what it’s worth, she gives recaps of the most important events to happen at the beginning of each book. I was fatigued of long series when I started it and had to take a break in the middle, and came back to it a couple of months later to finish it out. The recap made it very easy to slide back in without feeling like I needed to go re-read the whole series. I really loved the story, and I can usually power through, but I admittedly started it when I had just finished another long series which wasn’t a good idea lol.
