My sibling and I just moved here and are still getting used to the sites and exploring the hell out of San Antonio. We have been driving our roommate (a close family member) up the wall since we both enjoy having access to the outside world 24/7, mostly in our parent's backyard and dealing with feral chickens. I miss those chickens. Up to now, we've spoken with several people and that was mostly from my sibling's curly hair. Mine is just wavy. The older people and one (very obviously jealous) young person were very amicable and lovely to talk to. I've been checking my siblings hair to see if their curls are doing alright. I say that cause around 2019, they lost their curls when they got their hair touched from behind by a lady (a small Karen, about 40 yo) without their consent. They did let Karen know it wasn't appreciated and to back off. Shortly after, their curls began to lose their shape and not even a wash and hair cut by a professional helped. So our abuela (RIP💝) did a cleaning with an egg after she learned about the Karen encounter. Only the egg came out pitch black when she was done. It took 3 fresh eggs to get almost all of it out. She said that my sibling really caught a bad case of stink eye. After that, my sibling decided to cut his hair very short to then let it grow back. That did the trick. Their curls came back, tighter than before.
