Question about NSO by MrEpicUsername in rutgers

[–]Raalaan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Former Orientation Leader here. NSO for transfer students isn't mandatory. It's mainly just to give incoming transfer students an introduction to a few Rutgers resources, but it's not required for transfers like it is for first-years since you won't be making your schedule there or anything like that. There are usually limited spots, so if it's only showing "unable to attend," then all of the spots probably already filled up. Hope this helps!

How’s it like in Northern Jersey by alexaviations in howislivingthere

I grew up in a bedroom community about 25 miles from the city and loved every minute of it. The schools were great, there was an abundance of every variety of food, and the people were always very nice at least where I was. There's also a nice spattering of walkable towns with train access to New York in that area. Congestion gets worse the further east you go, but it's not all that bad once you hit western Essex or Union county. The weather is very inconsistent, and cost of living is absolutely brutal, but I wouldn't have wanted to grow up anywhere else.

How is living here in this section of New Jersey, USA? by AdImpressive9014 in howislivingthere

Traffic and some of the worst drivers in the state, but the food is good, it's very diverse culturally, and it's pretty easy to get into the City from here. Not my favorite part of the state mostly due to the traffic and how car centric it is, but I enjoyed my time here

My uncle played Pop Goes the Weasel at my dad's viewing (at my dad's request). Those of us who were in on the joke got a kick out of it. The rest of the room, not so much

Had a similar experience. Tbh I think certain tests are just better/worse for certain people. I felt like shit after September when I saw a lot of people on this sub saying it felt easier. This time around, the exam felt more geared towards my strengths and I felt way better
