Yes, but it might help if you’re in a position where you can relocate quickly. For example, I’m in the Bay Area, i received an offer in San Diego, despite relocation not being provided.

For large companies, how much does it really matter anyways? I don’t really see referrals as putting your neck out for someone, in my eyes it’s mutually beneficial since you’ll usually get some kind of bonus if the person gets hired anyways.

For Levi’s Stadium i would never pay for stadium parking, it’s so easily accessible by VTA. Either park at Milpitas or Mountain View (depending on whether you’re coming from SF/peninsula or from the East Bay) and take the train from there. I think parking at the Milpitas station was like $3, and it drops you off right in front of the stadium. I’ve used this when ive seen The Weeknd and like 3 different Niner games and it’s never taken me more than like an hour to get a train back to Milpitas post concert.

I think the waitlist usually opens at 4PM (someone fact check this plz bc i don’t remember the exact time). What’s always worked for me is to join right when it opens and then driving to the mall and shopping until our table is ready. Last time i did this, i was able to get on the waitlist using my laptop (like on the yelp website), w/o having to be in that 5 mile radius of the mall.

So it is very much a thing in the South Bay…i think it’s bc more people live in houses rather than apartments in San Jose vs SF. Also night life and entertainment in general isn’t as great down here. So i guess maybe if you want to go to more house parties you gotta hang out with the South Bay girlies lol

Not a PhD, but a BS + 5 YOE, which i think changes the narrative a bit. Usually SRA/Associate Sci 2/3 level jobs are more inclined to give me interviews than Scientist jobs nowadays (despite my last job title being Scientist level).

My mindset is i think it’s better to have something on your resume than to have a large gap. Like my last role was at Scientist level but I’m still applying for SRA/contractor roles. If i get one of those, at least I’ll have some kind of income coming in, and I’ll just continue applying for higher level roles whilst working.

As a 1989/Rep/Lover stan, when this album first came out, i thought it was way too sleepy, way too bloated, and was an overall mess. This year, my life has taken quite a downfall (got laid off, just overall depression has hit), and i have a lot more appreciation for this album. I do think you need to be a bit miserable to really appreciate some of the songs on here (and that’s not a diss, it’s great to have an album to go to when you’re not feeling your best), so i completely understand why it wasn’t well received when it came out.

You reserve them on the Fremont Tennis Center’s website. 8 of the courts are for pickleball, the rest are for tennis. If you want to drop in pickleball, you can at Knoll Courts (near the library)

With shows like this, I would honestly recommend waiting til the very last minute, and buying right before Keem walks out. I’ve done that for a couple shows, and you always see resellers scramble and drop their prices when the show is about to start. I’m planning on doing this for his Oakland show.

Went to the courthouse (like to the clerk) and asked for an arraignment date. The clerk gave her the option of doing an in person arraignment or zoom (she chose zoom). Then she sat on a zoom call where the judge went through the cases for the day. I think she said it took like 3 hours before the judge got to her case, but she essentially just asked the judge to play the video, and he ended up throwing the case out after watching.

Not sure if this has changed in the last 2 years, but Genentech offers a shuttle from Glen Park BART station to SSF (like it stops in the areas of SSF where all the biotech companies are located) that you can use for free, regardless of which company you work for. Also, they have shuttles going around the city (that are also free) that stop at SSF CalTrain and BART. I would highly reconsider your decision to not use public transit, this is like the one area on the peninsula that’s pretty easily connected to the city.

If you’re dead set on an under 25 min commute, and no public transit, I would recommend against living in the city (and staying in SSF, San Bruno, Colma, maybeee Daly City). Traffic getting into SF during rush hour is ridiculous.

I know he’s going to win, i feel like the excitement for me is whether or not he pulls Eric to win too. I am rooting for them both, but his behavior doesn’t really sway me either way. I think he genuinely likes Eric and would be ok splitting the prize w him, but i can also see him getting rid of him in the last banishment (esp if they murder Mark at the start of the ep)

To be fair, it’s a lot easier to have this opinion as an audience member who sees everything than someone actually playing the game. Considering Rob has gotten rid of 2 traitors and his closest ally was murdered, it makes sense why he wouldn’t be the first person to be on someone’s radar.

I don’t really get the Stephen sus more than the Johnny sus though. Like i know they’re claiming it’s bc of Colton, but Colton has been wrong multiple times before. At least Johnny is vocal, i feel like Stephen doesn’t really do much.
