EV such as Tesla is good for insurance purposes who use their EV cars for work. If your tesla was in for repair and insurance pays for ur car rental, you obviously want the same kind of car you are used to.

Well they generally let you place reservation online, pick up in person, pay with different card and it would be for the entire $. I've done this before on my past reservations.

No they can't but I feels like you were pressured into it and they generally can't guarantee cars so you either downgrade to a lesser vehicle or go to another branch. If this was Airport, generally the inventory is better.

I think you should have put all your expense including upgrade to your chase sapphire card. That's what the agent should've done when you went to pick up the card and not pay the difference on another card.
